Thanks m8. The devastation of the infrastructure, the lack of provisions, the state of those who are in poverty and generally sick of life due to the illegal actions of Western governments has left stoke a shadow of it industrial glory years
On the plus side at least you don't have to send your eight year old kids to work in the potteries any more.
****ing shame if you ask me Few more in the mines and the old pot banks and you wouldn't see the chavvy fookers behaving like they do
Stoke is great. Just be thankful you don't live in the Aids ridden junkie ****ter Capital City of Scotchland.
On one of my pished up days oot (?) to see FC Bayern in Manchester I caught the wrong train home and ended up in Stoke on Trent (Hanley). Decided to take a chance and booked into the hotel across from the station. Hanley was f****n' great so I stayed two nights before going to B'ham and finally home to Edinburgh. Repeated this jaunt twice more for our Champion's League games against 'City'. Strange that I recognise a lot of the places and happenings in these cop shows; rough lot of burdz in the potteries!
I grew up in Hanley mate. 30 years on and off. Over the years seen the bad govt decisions and the decline, but loved the potteries never say die attitude generally
Great rub-a-dubs, a few of which have the same early opening times as my 'Heimat'; felt right at home! Cool bookshop near the statue of Sir Stanley if I recall correctly.

A birthday card, but because I’m cheap, I’ll put it on here. Card : Generic colourful birthday card. “Dear Tina, Happy Birthday... maybe on your 50th, you’ll get the independence you’re craving. From Saints .”
Sounds a bit gay which is ok if you are into that sort of thing but the inclusion of Drag Queens means it's a Naw for this gender specific Citizen.
