I've believed since long before the start of this transfer window that there should be restrictions placed on transfer and wage expenditure in this division - in every division in fact. In fact I've said as much on not606. I'd be happy to support that even if it were to Leeds United's short-term detriment, because it's in everyone's long-term interest to have a healthy game which is ruled by loyalty, not how deep the pockets of foreign investors are and to once again be able to watch teams rise from the depths of obscurity to the heady heights of European football by the virtues of hard work and ingenuity like my own club did, not by crass money-chucking. The Football League are bringing in some promising rules which mirror those UEFA are planning to introduce. Shame they haven't taken effect immediately.
Leeds-18, you are right, and it's a shame it won't happen. Money kills and is killing football in so many ways, and it shouldn't be the players/players agents that can dictate affairs.
1, Hull City 2, Peterbrough Doncaster up through play offs (would be a good local derby in premiership) 21, Leicester - Surviving by goal diffrence 22, West Ham - Would love to see the porn king completely implode 23, Blackpool - Would love to see Holloway completely lose it (cant stand him) 24, Leeds - Obvious really
Amen to that. Guess you can take some satisfaction when clubs who throw money at winning leagues/competitons fall flat on their arses (the Man Citys of this world)
Did anyone see the comments from the new Chelsea manager regarding Man City ? You couldn't make it up. For those who didn't he said it was unfair on everyone else because Man City had so much money ! I don't know where he's been for the past seven years.
I went for Burnley in the bottom 3 because they do my head in. They always beat us and they get more penalties than any other team in the world, ever. I put Brighton lowly because everyone is hyping them up this season, you're right though they are a nice little club that has been very hard done by.
First course of action should be to...BAN THE AGENTS. How much is handed over to those leeches ? For heavens sake, if these footballers are so thick n lazy and stupid that they need an agent then ask there PFA to carry out any negotiations.
