He might not go true, but that's not what's being discussed here. It's his desire to go, with his 'come and get me' plea.

What’s being discussed, as it is every year at this time, is your obsession with all our best players leaving.

You’ve been wrong every time so I suppose you might get one right this year, but you could just as likely be wrong yet again.

He’s made it clear that if Madrid come in for him, he wants to go. Saying openly that he wants to try something else, as opposed to saying something that’s non committal is very telling. His agent has since said this is not news to Spurs, and is the reason he’s not signed a new contract. He’s off mate, you’ll have to sell him now, as he’s not renewing and come Christmas can agree a Bosman, Levy ain’t allowing that.

He’s also said that if nothing exciting comes along ‘why not sign a new contract’.

Madrid are unlikely to come in for him now. Reports this morning claim they’ve now agreed a €100 mill fee for Hazard.

I agree it will have to be decided this summer. But we can’t force him to go where he doesn’t want to go. It’s clear he fancies Madrid, but do they want him?

Even if Madrid don’t come calling I can’t see him signing a new Spurs deal now, when he can likely triple his money on a Bosman next summer. When players of his calibre have run down their deals to 12 months, then it usually only ends one way.

Yeah I’d agree. Once last summer was done and neither he or Toby inked new deals the writing was on the wall for me. No beef with him going though, given us 6 great years, one of the best I’ve seen at the club in my lifetime. Just gonna be a ****ing bitch to replace him.

Indeed. Same goes for Hazard imo, they’ve both given great service, their clubs will make a few quid profit on them, and they fancy a change of scenery for their last massive deals in the game. There’s nothing wrong with that imo. It’s when you get some upstart who’s achieved **** all and wants away before they’ve even repaid the clubs faith in them, that it grates.

Hazard has 1 year left too, so that makes Eriksen available for £30m range

    I think Madrid will mate.

Over on our board I said months back that Real were gonna go mental this summer. New galactico era and all that. I think once Hazard is tied up they’ll move for Eriksen. I can also see them moving for another big money player, one of Pogba, Neymar or Mbappe maybe.

Yeah Madrid are going to go mental this summer, its been a while since they had a massive spending spree (by their standards) and they had a particularly disappointing season (again, by their standards), finishing outside the top 2 and not winning the Champions League for the first time in a few years.
They do this often when they have had a crappy season, start spending big to appease fans.

    We’ll see.

Pogba I’m not sure they want. They’d love to have Mbappe, but I doubt that PSG will sell.

There’s been no talk over here about Real coming for Eriksen. Maybe they will, maybe not.

They paid €100 mill for Hazard. They won’t get Eriksen for much less.

In your favour, though, is that there are probably only a handful of clubs they would consider going to, can't see them moving to a 'lesser' club' or China for the big fat-day, that'll be when the next contract ends. So, realistically, RM, Barca, PSG, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Bayern, Juventus; are probably about the scope of it. If none of those make a bid, they'll probably sign a 3 year deal each.

    Depends how risk they are.

Sign a new contract guaranteed money. Dont sign a new contract they are guaranteed a fat signing on bonus and a great wage at their next club

I think Eriksen will go Real. I’ve said that pretty much since last summer. IF they don’t make a bid then I reckon he’ll stay and sign a new deal but I think it’s more or less nailed on that once they sign Hazard they’ll move for him.

As for Toby I’d be amazed if he’s still a Spurs player. May be 30 but at £25m he’s one of the bargains of the summer, anyone willing to offer his supposed £180k a week demands and he’ll be off.
