KillerWatt will make all the difference. Slade has plugged the boys into the National grid - don't like the new kit though.
Any truth to the rumour that Vince Cable has been drafted in as financial adviser,in what WOL describes as, " a copper plate appointment". "I'm all wired up and ready to switch on to my new challenge", enthused Cable. "Hopefully we'll make light work of our upcoming encounters",he opined.
Watt we need is a penalty decision to go our way (if we ever got into the box that is) as ludicrous as the one bizarrely granted to swansea last saturday.
Bridcutt gone to Leeds on loan. Slade must be happy with our midfield then. No news of Prem striker signing. What a surprise - NOT!!!!
Cardiff city management have no ambition to sign decent players,no wonder there are empty seats every home game, and there will be a lot less unless they pull their socks up find the money and start to find players that will enhance the team. Getting to the premiership this year is a must with all this money they could get next year ,and also our parachute payments are going down all the time.
It appears the Prem striker we were trying to loan in was Emnes from Swansea. Not sure he would be the guy to put bums back on seats. Thoughts guys.
I am so frustrated with our owner and management that I could scream,i feel as if our hands are tied behind our backs and gaffer tape over our mouths.Nearly all the teams with ambition have got what they wanted, what did we get a striker who has no goals in 3 months and lately could not even get in his team who are bottom of this division.
there's always hope. Have a look at number 11 here. https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/photos/...art-mulling-macheda-move-photo-110922761.html Number 8 looks familiar too. And look at number 13. What a guy. And 14. What is it with Cardiff City and this type of player?
Give 'Em a chance and they throw it back at you. When they are psychologically flawed there is not much you can do. We had Chops best years so must be grateful for that.
The latest rumour: - http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-set-offered-celtic-10529103 What do we think of him (if it happens)? A very good strike rate of a goal less than every 3 games. But 116 of those in Scotland. At least it shows he knows where the back of the net is. However, we said the same about Doyle who had a similar strike rate with Chesterfield and in Scotland and Ireland. Not so good at Championship level - in fact not even good.
keep saying it. we need to sort the midfield out if we're going to get the best out of our strikers (whoever they are). At least Slade is watching this board. I tipped the Ralls / Whitts swap a few weeks back. Still don't know that it is the full answer though.
It is taking the right route. Gunnarrson seems a better player without partnering Whittingham in central midfield. If Watt and Macheda can get 100% match fit and consign Mason to the reserves, and if City can get more balls into and around the opposition area then perhaps we may have a half decent shout this season. Need to win at Bolton - I cannot recall us ever winning there - only defeats.
Lot of "ifs" there Nin although I agree with what you say except for the bit about Macheda. As Stevo and others might know by now I do not rate Macheda at all. If he proves me wrong then that's just fine, but the most important thing is your bit about getting the ball in and around the opposition box. We are faffing about far too much and need to be far more direct - and that doesn't mean Route 1 tactics to Jones every time. We have to hold a higher line and play further up the field. Starting attacks (such as they've been) from our own penalty area is all too pedestrian with our slow midfield. Trying to play killer balls from 70 yards out gives defences far too much time to close us down.
True Sparks. It was better last Saturday. Moving Ralls into the middle and Whitts out wide helped get the ball forward quicker and more constructively. There was also the advantage of having Watt consistently trying to find space - going short and long and then running at defenders when he had the opportunity. We are still not right in midfield but it was a start.
