You could use your post as a argument that he's got too much power. As you said, who's ever heard of a board sacking the managers back room staff and the manager still staying on?
Whereas you're proposing sacking the CEO of a top 10 company in the world because one of his store managers ****ed up the day to day handling of business and didn't produce results in line with the overall strategy
The analogy is hardly accurate. The people sacked are personally known to Rodgers and directly accountable to him on a day to day basis. The CEO of a top 10 company would not even know the 2000 + store managers and would be several tiers removed.
You brought up the company analogy. Unlike a company, there shouldn't be anyone on the football side Rodgers doesn't know about. That doesn't stop someone being bad, and it's not Rodgers' job to micromanage everyone. If the physio ****s up and an injury is made worse do you sack Rodgers? No, so why sack him for **** work by others?
I brought up the analogy of the executive team. You expanded it to others lower down the food chain. Like you did here. Physios etc. If the physios had been sacked it would not have been rodgers fault nor should it be. What the **** should Rogers be involved. Same as the club doctor and nurses or the likes. We are talking of the coaches who do training and tactics regarding football. So directly linked to Rodgers. It is like Mourinho failing and Steve Clark (as his assistant) or any of the top coaches getting sacked.
we have sacked doctors over gerrard's injury history. since he stopped running he rarely got injured but then we fell out of europe too so who knows. I agree though sacking the coaching team and not rodgers is just plain wierd. for all we know there is a post july 1 date that the club nees t get past to avoid some 2 mil fee. rodgers has been utterly silnet so when preseason starts it'll be interesting.
