Not at present, he had an automatic place and I think he needed to be reminded that he had to fight for a place. It happens to lots of players. You sold us a good one there, he might not be Premier class (which is probably why you ditched him).

He is a good player at this level IMO. My father-in-law does a bit of football scouting and his independent view is Fryatt's a good player. I thought the same when you had him and I haven't changed my opinion after seeing him play for us.

I think Fryatt will be back soon, maybe playing with Waghorn and Hobbs. All three will play well for Nigel.

Things are looking up for both our teams at present, looks liek an interesting season.

Fryatt and Waggy never played well together. Not winding you up, they we're both good with Howard though so maybe you should play Dele more often.

Most people have said that. I wonder if NP has any plans to make it work this time?

How's Beckford settling in?

Well he hasn't banged them in of course but his direct running and pace is very exciting and I think when Nugent returns we will be fine.

he looked very classy!!!!!

I think he'll do well for you. Everton did well out of the deal, coming out with a handsome profit, you've got a good player for less than you were offering for Maynard. The only people who have lost out are Leeds!

I'm hoping that he does well for you and you then sell us Waghorn in January.

Now how about getting rid of Danns? You know it makes sense.......

Beckford's touch was superb today and a class of touch that I haven't seen in a city short for a long long time.

Bamba, Pelts, Konch, Vass - all superb today
Mills Beckford Wellens - great shifts
Everyone else decent performance - not one bad one in the team.
MOM - Vass - amazing today.
Kasper - did nothing all game! Oh, wait a minute he had nothing to do....

spot on Burmese

Yeah, someone who scored 10 goals in the Prem for 2.5m is cracking business.

I wouldn't be surprised if we sell you Danns when we get promoted (Yes, I do think it'll happen) because he cant even get into our side now.

feel sorry for danns- great exciting player IN THE CENTRE. He is played out wide where he isnt as good. Great signing, but if you wanted a winger, why not sign a winger!? Him and King will keep each other on their toes for that position.

Saying that I thought he had a great game at Florist playing wide and looked really dangerous running at them!!

Neil Danns would get a chance in the prem if we get there. If he wouldn't of had a chance he wouldn't of signed for us

true.... and plenty of poor games. He is a threat in the middle though- box to box with a more attacking instinct. King is more of a goal threat, but danns is more combative. It just depends what we want in a certain game.

Most of the signings we have made have 3 or 4 years on their contract, so if we go up this season, im guessing we will be in the prem with those players, maybe 1 or 2 new "big" name signings, but the core would be the same.

I think we would need to improve significantly.

Schmeichel, Koncheky, Bamba, Wellens would all be good enough.

Mills, Fernandes, Beckford, Nugent, Peltier, Paintsil MAY be good enough.

King, Dyer can have impact roles.

Schmeichel, Mills, Bamba, Wellens, Fernandes, Johnson, Nugent, Beckford, would be all capable of holding their own in the prem

Question marks over Pantsil, Konchesky as to if they are still up to that level

Peltier, Dyer, Gallagher, St. Ledger, Waghorn(If he comes back), Abe, Tunchev, Schlupp, Danns should all get a chance to see if there up to it

Oakley, Howard, Berner, Weale, Moussa wouldnt be up to the prem

Kasper

Right Back Mills Bamba Left Back

Winger Fernandes Johnson Winger

Beckford Striker

I think the right back slot could possibly be filled by Peltier, but he has to shrug off the competition from Pantsil who could also fill it. But at the moment we would need a new right back and there is no prizes for guessing who I would like us to sign.

Left back is a place that'll need filling. Koncheskey, although he has been fantastic for us so far, will need replacing as he is getting on and losing pace.

Both wingers will need filling, I would love us to sign some players with real pace which is what we have lacked for ages.

A striker, one who can do everything. A player in the Bobby Zamora/Grant Holt mould.

I think Neil Danns was very unlucky to be left out against Brighton. It was probably only the fact we were playing a passing side like Brighton that the more defensive minded Abe was brought in. Obviously now he's played so well you can't leave him out. But I still think he'll have a big role to play in the side this season and to write him off now is far too soon. He's a player capable of playing as a 'wider' man in the diamond and running at players and coming inside of having a more creative role. He can also play at the tip behind the front two so I think, when injuries and fluctuations in form come into play, Neil Danns is still a vital member of this squad.

Mills and Bamba both individually up for the prem, but a class CB would need to be bought in to fight out betwee the 3.
