Im a negative prick too, but you know what? I was right. I didnt get my hopes ridiculously high.

Both teams had played 1 game, both drawn, and had brand new squads. There was NO way we could call this game beforehand, and I was just basing my own pessimistic predictions on recent history, which is lets be honest, ****ing dreadful.
 
There is 2 great strikers out there 1 Darren bent and 2 Kenwyne jones. Get Bruce out tommorow and bring in Benitez before he takes us down.

They were there for the taking, we had the better game, but, once again can't put the ball in the net, if you can't do that then you can't win, any idea where Gyan kept disappearing to? Newcastle did'nt have many chances, but all they needed was one & they got it, fair play to them, they won & that was it.
 
Benitez your having a laugh right? I heard people blaming Bruce because he is a Geordie, Richardson when he was no where near the ball.

We were unlucky, we did not take our chances and fair play to Newcastle they too theirs.

Looking at positives: Sess really looks the part and Colback, Catts and Ferdinand all has superb games. Elmo, Gyan and Larson did not look great, Larson was poor from set pieces today, Elmo gave the ball away and Gyan looked off the pace. Bardo should never have been sent off. Brown and Richardson were ok but both made mistakes that had my heart in my mouth.

Give Bruce a chance we have played 2 games FFS.
 
Another note, was that free kick goal legal? it went straight in, so what is direct and what is in direct?, never understood that rule.
 
A foul is a direct free kick. In direct free kicks are given for things like a back pass to the keeper, that's why it's possible to have a free kick in the box because it's not a pen if you pass the ball back to the keeper in the box. So it was a goal
