I'm fuming. He's a fat, useless prick and I've already lost a hell of a lot of the respect I had for him. Ashbee: You ****.
If Lambrettamans rumour is true I will be really dissapointed. I expected at least a smile and wave today but he seemed unusual. Even on the football league show as the managers shook hands at the end you could see Ashbee fly past them straight to the tunnel. If the rumours of his wife and family are true then he's buggered up big time here! As browny once said to deano, "there is no sentiment in football".
I hope Scooter is wrong, he's special, although Deano will always be me fave player, but if he does something that petulant, after the way we've looked after him, treated him while injured, the wages which frankly he would never have gotten anywhere else, I hope he rots in hell. Its not like the East Stand should be a surprise to him, he should know its in good humour and piss taking, so yesterday showed him up for the apparant cock he is it seems
Same here, I realised that as with most players there only here for the money. Ash has had a lot out of City and to act like that was a disgrace. I know some will say he lead us for 9 years but he did not achieve everything on his own. Wayne Brown had more class when he was laughing and joking with fans in the West stand. Ash's one intention yesterday was to take McLean out the dirty fat ungrateful twat. The final straw for me was the finger to the East stand. If thats how he wants to be remembered then he can go stick his finger right up his arsehole. I hope his career and whole life turns to ****. Good day!

interesting to see what he says, maybe people are worried they wont like the home truths that come out? whatever he says will never take away what he did on the pitch for us, its in the history books now, people should never forget that, he was a preston player yesterday at the end of the day, as mentioned above, when he wore the black and amber he gave it all. thats all that counts.....yesterday was like a funeral, time to say goodbye, but it turned out like an eastenders funeral, where it just couldnt run smooth and something had to happen p.s when ashbee played for us, his job was to take out the oppisitions dangerman, he did it many times and we sang his name for it....yesterday he was doing hs job for preston, i expected nothing less of him then to try and take our dangermen out,..did people expect him to to pat our players on the backsides as they ran past him?...put it in perspective!
When the dust settles and time heels all parties will remember the last 6 years as the best of their lives. Hope Ash does not resort to slagging us off( remember Ash you only meet 1% off the supporters so don't judge) as he is our Captain and history will never change that.
I read elsewhere that he had his head turned by that clueless plank Bullard, you'd think he'd have better values at his age and experience.
I've no idea what he's going to say, I just know he's pissed off and he's about to let everyone know why.
Ian Ashbee has been a marvelous influence at the club and should always be accorded special mention by City fans. But on the other side of the coin he should also remember that in those 9 years with us have been two lengthy injury spells. Contracts are not be handed out on sentiment and yesterday his performance was nothing special and highlighted why the current management were cautious about offering him another extension. NP sees him in training and his judgement is not just based on matches. Sadly, the professional sportsman always finds it difficult to accept that their best year are behind them, and I think this is the stage that Ash is reached.
Of course Ashbee was going to be bloodyminded and cussed to the end. He doesn't do nicey nice! These were the exact qualities which made him the best captain we ever had.If he hadn't been made that way he wouldn't have achieved what he did for us! Being such an ars*y get is what made him fight for this club over the years. So what if he didn't stay to wave.
I am annoyed with Ash anyway before the game. I heard a rumour a week into the transfer window that Ash had been approached and was looking at going to Preston (came from a friend of a friend, hence not posting what i eard as i take all "sources" with a large pinch of salt). The friend of a friend told me Ash had told him he was wanted at Preston as he would be offered a good contract and had been told by NP that he was not guarentted to start evert week. He said Ash felt he had been pushed out by the arrival of Evans. What annoyed me most about this was he didnt just hand in a request then, but waited until the last moment, and the day before a match. You ant a longer deal/better contract then fair enough, but to try to screw the club like that makes him a tosser in my book. I dont really care what he comes out with, we have a keen, eager squad looking very capable of sucsess, thanks for the memories Ash, but remember that Hull City will always be bigger then any one player
