"Neil Lennon marched on to the fringes of the pitch before being called back by the fourth official as the game ended with five minutes of drama after 85 minutes of fairly dull fare."

So he didn't run on to the pitch and shout at the referee then.

    That makes you a liar.

Are you for real? I gave you a link to an article about the police reporting sectarian singing pre-season at a Rangers game. I also reminded you of the singing at the League Cup final, then you could have had any European tie on top of that.

Are you ever going to answer my question or is this wee runaround you're doing as good as saying "No. I didn't bother to write anything about Rangers fans singing questionable songs. My only concern is with the Celtic fans."?

No its not, its an observation.

Now you are speculating that I have made that observation with a pre-concieved bias, but until you prove that you cannot say it is sectarian. I could do you for libel dont you know

So I was right he did go on to the pitch to argue with the ref.

Sectarian singing has happened in the past with Rangers and Celtic fans but how can I comment on a pre-season friendly that none of us know what was sung? A fella on here said that there was no sectarian songs but there were some songs that the stewards and police were not happy about.

Yeah Jacky, I would love to see that in court and you trying to defend yourself against using the word huns. Like I said you backed up my point more than enough.

No, he ran to the edge of the pitch. The report makes no suggestion about him running on to the pitch and shouting at the referee.

    You made that up.

No you have defeated your point more than enough. My reference to libel was a satirical go at your constant court of law crap about sectarian slurs. At least mine would stand more chance of success. Yours would be chucked out as soon as the judge saw what he was supposed to be presiding over

So you didn't write an article about the pre-season game that the POLICE have said sectarian singing was going on. We finally got an answer to that one. <applause>

What about the League Cup final? What about the European games? What about just about every away ground in the SPL last season?

Did you write articles about Rangers fans and their singing on any of the above occasions?

Medro has sapped my will to live.

He hears everything and sees everything that Celtic and it's employees and fans do, but sees and hears nothing wrong with Rangers and their fans and employees. He does'nt even bother with the typical Rangers tactic of saying "You are worse than us", to him in his world of isolated ignorance it's only Celtic who are at fault.

What's the point in even trying have a serious debate with someone like that?

    He is incredibly irritating <laugh>

He's like the little officious man who works for the council who only sees things from his side and ignores any point of view which doesn't fit into his own made-up little world. In a nutshell, he's Rimmer from Red Dwarf. <ok>

He reminds me of a Motherwell fan who used to be on 606. Malky was his name, Anp will recall him, he was exactly the same. Malky said McGeady was a bigot but he did not have to produce any evidence to back up his assertion. It was not up for debate, Malky had made his mind up and nothing was going to change it, not even facts and smple logic.

So you can't make a single argument to say that anything I have said is untrue.
    Is that correct?

Can I just ask what songs were sung?

Can't remember the league cup final, I got some really ****ty news around that time and I'm not sure I even watched the whole game. The European games I went to, I never heard any sectarian singing. Away games, yeah some wee neds have sung some sectarian garbage in the past. But that's not just a Rangers problem is it.

I joined this forum in May, when the league had finished.

You couldn't be more wrong. I understand that we have a problem within our support. Our club is aware of this problem and trying to cut it out. I was at Manchester 2008 so seen for myself first hand the tag alongs and the pissheads that let our club down. At one stage some pissed up ned was throwing **** outside Picadilly Gardens and I had a go at him for letting the club down.

    You're ignoring my points again, so let's give it another go;

    1. A reporter for the guardian knows about the usage of the word hun in N.I and the grafiti that appears over countless walls, but you were unaware this happened? Correct/

    2. Was the fella done for breach of the peace or religious breach of the peace?

    3. If the word Hun simply means a Rangers fan why did McBride speak how it can't be sung anymore and used it in the same line as black players getting hit with bananas.

    4. You said that hun is not sectarian becasue it does not appear in the dictionary. Are you trying to suggest that say for example you can't think of anything racist off the top of your head that isn't in the dictionary?

    Take your time.<ok>
