Exactly. The same can be said about Tevez as well. He can be a liability off the pitch but you know he will give it his all on it.

This is why players like Kuyt and Lucas are well received by the fans because of the effort they put in week in week out.

And this is also why fans weren't too bothered to see a talented but lazy player like Babel leave ...

I do not disagree with anything written originally.

    list a squad first.

GK reina and doni. thats ok for now.
RB Johnson and kelly - injury worries here. flanagan is only decent but needs expereince. i suggest a 3 month loan here.
LB: enrique. we must get rid of aurelio, Robinson
RCB: skertl. Carragher must retire. We need to strengthen here or promote wisdom.
LCB: Agger Coates. We are well covered here.

DCM: Lucas. Spearing aint up to it.. we need to address this.
CM: Adam, Gerrard, Henderson , Shelvey... oh dear oh dear. gerrard is past it and adam is woeful. Need at least one more player (meireles you clown)
LW Downing Bellamy... not really willing to go one more year with this but we may have to.
RW: Kuyt Maxi... we need to retire these two kuyt is just getting to being past it and as paisley said the trick is letting them run out of legs on someone lese's pitch.
CF Suarez, Carroll. Not enough at all, carroll is a flop.

So just looking at all the work we did last year i don't get why people thought we'd be a breeze for top 4... despite that its still dissappointing.

    Playing staff:

First I think we need a centre half, a left back, a defensive midfielder, at least one central midfielder, Two wingers and two strikers... and guess what 8 plyaers AINT happening. so we need to get real and see this is going to take some effort.

Second i'd try to defray that requirement with some in house improvements. In short I would hope sterling can take on a role here, i hope robinson can take on a role here... that leaves six... i don't think we can rely on wisom or wilson to come back and take on a reserve slot for skertl but you never know. I would want to see a big step up from downing and henderson.

Third I think we can GET BY in defense so in all honesty my next steps if i were dalglish is to go buy BIG up front... I would perosnally leave carroll there cos unless i got 15mil or soemthing worth getting theres zero point and he'd be an option too. I would want two forwards at least, one younger maybe with pace but one guy to lead the line with suarez.

Foruth. I'd want to buy the next xabi alonso... there are names but i'd want to get one in

I think next year i'd agree with gerrard and bellamy being impact subs and use them as such.
