This!! Several threads complaining about us making an approach for him and how we don't need another keeper, now people complaining that we're not going to get him because we haven't offered enough money for him? Maybe we should have offered £35M for someone we apparently didn't want in the first place?
Has it just reached the stage where we just cop a strop no matter what the club do?

Have we released Ole Soderburg? I thought he was the cover for goalkeepers?

£100,000 transfer bids in this day and age are pretty shameful. It seems clear to me that Pardew is letting it be known of his interest in the lad so he becomes unsettled - don't be surprised to hear Elliot handing in a transfer request soon enough. Was Elliot at Charlton when Pardew was the manager?

I don't think people are complaining because we did not offer more money for a keeper that we didn't want in the first place, more that it's come to light on this occasion what Newcastle are offering for players they are telling everyone they are interested in buying. It now looks like all the other targets the club have said they have made offers for (but have been unable to agree a fee) were probably just as dorisory and we never had/have any chance of getting them.

The only two players we have brought in for a fee have been Cabaye at £4.5m & Obertan for £3m which are very low prices for this standard of player (which is good business for two promising players which I'm sure we're all pleased about) but how many more quality or potentially quality players are out there for these prices?????

Forget Pieters, Sissokho or even that Maida bloke, I dobt we'll get any of them for £4m or £5m (or maybe even less judging by this Eliott offer)!

For his final three games if i remember...

Theyre going to the Premier League about it because we apparently promised to keep the bid private, but then Pardew went blabbing off to the papers about it this week.

I don't think you can assume anything about bids for starting left backs or forwards based on a bid for a 3rd or 4th string L1 keeper in the last year of his contract

Want to bet on that? All we've heard for the last four or five weeks is that Newcastle are interested in signing someone but can't agree a fee! Funny that eh?

Every time Pardew opens his mouth he puts his foot in it.

Listening to Super Mac tonight, he's pretty certain that Saucheaux have valued Maiga (or whatever his name is, even worse trying to remember his name after a couple of bottles of red) at £9.5m and the club have offered £3m!!!!! More wood for the fire!
