Thought I’d pop back in being as united are about to ruin someone else’s career.

wanted to share some (burnt) food photos from the last few months.. for some reason I can’t reduce the file size now when I upload from the phone so you can’t appreciate my cookery.

bought a smoker and have ruined so many cuts of meat.

I appear to have deleted my disaster photos..

I cooked what was meant to be a pulled pork in the smoker. Used oak and filled the water bowl with cider. Smoked it for 5 hours.

was literally the most disgusting meat I’ve ever eaten.

next attempt was beef brisket. Was £35 for the joint. I over smoked it, was black on the outsid and the most dry chewy meat you’ve ever eaten. Had the in laws here for dinner that day as well. They just sat there and ate it in silence..

That's looks really good.
Was really good that. Had it to myself as well..

Have been mastering sauces this year. Pretty much nailed doing a blue cheese sauce for steaks. Also bodelaise sauce. ****ed up the bordelaise sauce the first few times. Quite expensive to make as well as you use a decent amount of red wine, quality beef stock and bone marrow. Worth it though.

Will go through some WhatsApp messages as am sure I sent my mate photos of the disasters.

There it is. Drier than a nuns chuff.

over smoked, over cooked slab of a driest thing known to humanity. Reckon people with damp and mould problems could place it in their lounge and would suck any moisture out the air..
