You never know, I might get round to trying it sometime.
500g APF
2 tsps salt
2 tsps baking powder
550-600ml of milk & water (equal amounts) warmed with 2 tsps of sugar & 2tsps of dry active yeast.
Let it froth up a bit (to prove its active) hoy it in the flour a hand whisk it smooth. Consistency of single cream. Cover and wait for bubbles to appear in the batter. Pour into rings three quarters up on a hot plate or large skillet. Little blob of butter in each ring, low gas, this is the trial & error stage.

Seeing what Chief said about no queue for fuel.

Reminded me of the psychologist who was speaking on SKY News yesterday, and presenter tried to defend the channel by saying, we have a duty to report the news, and the guy replied, but you are not going to send your cameras to a station that don't have a problem, because it's not news worthy enough for you. You are the problem because you only report what will catch a headline for your viewers, so the panic is driven by you.

The media caused this.

They knew what they were doing and know fine well what a bunch of utter **** knuckles the British public largely are, and how they will react.

There was no fuel crisis, the 'panic' was caused by the BBC et al reporting that there 'might' be a problem coming up but, please don't panic buy. They then have the story they can drone on about for the next two weeks.

They all need lining up in front of a gatling gun, ****s.

Just to be clear, I totally agree with you.

As a man of the countryside, although I suspect this may not grow in sunny Northumberland, any idea what this is? Next door neighbour has this growing on a tree in his garden:
