We don’t eat much ready made food. Only if we’re pushed for time.

It amazes me that ready meals are still so popular. I may buy one maybe once a month (usually a curry I like) for convenience and my daughter sometimes asks for a frozen lasagne again maybe once a month but the amount stocked in supermarkets would show them to be really popular.

They are expensive, small, full of salt, full of additives, why do that to yourself?

Laziness in my view.

Laziness in my view.

Just been having a rethink actually, I really don't like ready meals and they have often given me heartburn when I have had one but my life is quite busy, I don't get in until 6.30pm by the time I've done the dishes, washing, drying, walked the dog I often can't be bothered cooking but do so anyway. Modern life probably drives people to it at times. I suppose I'm quite pro active as in that I cook meals for Monday on Sunday and get stuff in that's easy to do but I do actually understand why people go for the convenience.

A good example of me being sick of cooking when tired and was last night, I went all @Commachio I sliced celery onion garlic peppers bacon, added it all to a pan at the same time and put the lid on and stirred it now and then and then added to pasta, it was actually quite nice. <laugh>

Comm would have added 3 sausages, 1 steak, 2 pork chops, mashed potato and 8 rashers of bacon.

That's not a Comm, he wouldn't have any pasta in the house so you fooked up straight away. You also added celery, anything green is eaten by rabbits not humans in the world of Comm. And lastly you used a lid, the only lid Comm knows is the pull ring on a four pack.
