I had one very weird starter this week on holiday.

My Mrs is a French teacher but couldn't translate what it was properly and it sounded like a bit of an cheesy/eggy thing. Almost omelette-esque.

What appeared was a boiling hot bowl of creamy stuff with two raw eggs floating in it. Not gonna lie, it wasn't great.

Not sure if I was supposed to break the yolks and stir or something but I had a reluctant go at eating and gave up.

Looked like a hot bowl of cream with two egg yolks floating in fresh man fat!

You back? How was the flight with the ankle biters?

Yeah, got back yesterday.

They were good as it goes. The travel went smoothly, much relief there.

Was a bit odd, had a full row to myself going out Saturday, very chilled indeed, yet the flight was packed yesterday.

Lots of dishes put a raw egg on mate, it probably sounds more honking than it is.

Steak cooked Austrian style with roasties.
I'm gonna have a beef and noodle stir fry, in garlic and hoisin and garlic sauce.

Then as as experiment i've got another steak marinating in that guiness sauce i bought.I think it's meant as just a sauce, but bollox, i'll give it a go.

10/10 for effort as always mate...but wtf <laugh>

Roasties look nice, but what's that carrot...was it one of those ready chopped packs from the supermarket?

Buy whole mate and cut chunky, will make the presentation better....and peas, no, no, no!

To be fair it's only the veg presentation that spoils it and makes it look like something ordered in a supermarket cafe!
