All this gym talk I'm going to start on it when I'm working up Hereford. Two nights a week, spend a good hour and half there and try to whip myself back into shape. Kettle bell sessions seem to be what's in, anyone done them?
This stuff; usually rather do my own thing but it seems these do all round work outs very well.
Ahh yes. Do those in most of those exercises at circuits too.. Do figure of 8's through the legs in squats too.. They hurt. They're good as you can do lots with them.
They do look good, the first excercise on that is essentially dead lift, although he calls it squat. Men Health always recommends. Might see of they do them at the nearest leisure centre. Realised I actually do need to shift a stone! Making my sausage and puy lentil casserole as we speak, pics will appear when it comes out of the oven.
Looks a hearty meal that.. I've just had ribeye steak with a large flat mushroom stuffed with cheese, veg and peppercorn sauce.. No carbs Weighed myself. I've put on half a stone in beer belly.
Yeah, it was. Tasty too. It did have little pockets of sweetness with the prunes that might not be everyone's cup of tea but I'd do it again. Want the recipe?
Can't beat these dark casseroles I add a bit of marmite with the beef and ale one I do and pearl barley which is great stuff.
Yeah, very tasty. I was correct about the ****ing bog visits too. Here's the recipe if anyone fancies giving this a go; Pack of 8 sausages (decent quality) 200g Puy lentils 250g prunes, pitted and ready. 2 large onions - thinkly sliced 2 medium carrots - cut diagonally 2 celery sticks - cut diagonally 2 tables spoons olive oil 2 bayleaves 1 sprig fresh thyme 500ml chicken stock (preferably home made) salt and pepper to taste Heat oil in casserole dish and add onion, cover and sweat for ten minutes Add carrots, bay leaves, thyme and celery, sweat for ten more minutes Heat other t'spoon of oil in frying pan and brown off sausages. Add sausages to casserole and deglaze the pan with some of the stock. Add this to the casserole with the rest of the stock, the prunes and the lentils. The stock should just cover everything and bring to the simmer. Once simmering put in oven at gas mark 4 or 5 for 90 minutes. Stir half way through and then season to taste. Serve with baked spud and broccoli or greens of choice.
My mum reckons its the way that you cook it.. Ie stew things are done separately then thrown together and a casserole it's a whole meal in one.. Personally I thought that was a load of old ****. Just had chippy chips and curry sauce for lunch.. Didn't eat all of them either.. I've justified by the fact it's circuits tonight. I've also gone down two notches on the scales how ever much that is.. I also weighed myself prior to my mammoth **** this morning.. Did my tax return yesterday, £500 less than I thought.. Boom. Went to pay the money into an account to do the transfer an the bird in the bank couldn't count and was meant to give me £4 change instead gave me £14 so I spent it on a new shirt in tk max. Oh I also found £500 I forgot I'd hidden in my secret stash under a loose floorboard.. To celebrate all these joyous things I've worn a gilet to work. A tweed gilet no less.
Yes but also a Casserole dish is something that has changed into a cooking method, so a casserole was called so because of the dish or pot used.
I've failed again also, sick of being out in the ****ing car all the time round breakfast. Was out and about and starving and happened to pass a Greggs in one of those industrail units and thought, bacon butty and coffee for two quid, i'll have some of that. Had no cash and debit card minimum payment was three quid so had to buy a steak pasty too! That's ****ed it. Have now eaten my dinner, which was the leftover of the casseole above, too. fat ****. Nearly bought a tweed blazer on Saturday in Crew in Bristol. Half price, the one I liked, only £125. They only had a large though and it was nug, I need XL.
You can get some good tweed round here.. I will show you where I got mine from when you're over was only £80
