I stayed in Kenilworth for couple of nights with work, at one of those Loch Fynne places. Not much more to add than that really! Leamington seemed a bit immigrant heavy to me! Loads of eastern Europeans I thought.
I never really spent any time in leamington.. Was just a nice place to look at as an estate agent.. Love Georgian houses.. There are Eastern Europeans everywhere mate.. Dunno whether they Didnt fancy Wales but we have loads of them round here too.
Oh I know, there are a good few up here too but some places seem magnets to them and have over load. That jerk chicken sounds great, something I have meant to do but never got round to.
Yeah it's nice tbf, but I dislike the rest of the midlands in general tbh (sorry if you're from there ), Kenolworh has a couple of decent places to eat but yeah apart from that, posh ****holr! His tv show was quite good, tasty dishes.
Nice tea last night, pretty good for a pub but they think they're a restaurant standard so charge that bit too much. Had chicken sate starter, which was lovely, and a posh surf and turf for main which consisted of a sirloin steak, rare, with scallops and some chilli tiger prawns. Sauce was chilli butter and it was with brocolli and chips. Had two Cottage brewery Golden Arrow ale, bloody lush, and a bottle of Rioja. Sorted. Golf first thing this morning, beef stew for tea.
Meant to say, on my FB status thing. The first girl to comment, Caroline. I would have bet my house and kids that she would write burfday. Nailed on certainly. She's otherwise alright, honest.
Worst steak ever tonight.. How can it be difficult to cook a steak rare.. Was so over done it tasted like liver.
No.. Still ate it. Stupid really. Couldn't be arsed as was only one of the cheap two for one places. There was an odd number of us so there was a spare meal so ate most of that, had gammon. Which was lovely. Enjoy your birthday?
I suppose you get what you pay for there but in those places I don't know why they bother even asking how you want it done. Pointless, there's no way an actual chef is back there doing it. Had a good weekend, yeah. Enjoyed drinking again! Played some good golf this morning too, was meant to be freezing but it held off so all good. Bought a ****ing big axe on the way home on Friday and have blasted me way through some logs, had the burner roaring all weekend. Back to food though, booked in at Bistro du Vin next weekend post theatre and it's meant to be excellent. Hopefully it will be, plan to eat and drink like a fat ****. Got half a g of bugle then for the train home, which I've got first class. Won't be telling her that though.
