I've found it a bit easy, which is strange. Thought I would have been craving a few beers this weekend gone.

I've got a box of Carlberg Export unopened staring at me in the garage, half a fridge full and a case of red wine all unopened.

    Strength in adversity!!

going to Manchester for my mate's birthday at the end of feb, was planning not to get pissed till then but I don't have the strength! I have stopped having a glass with dinner in the week but when Friday night comes temptation overtakes me. I could give up lager easily, I just love a good ale at the weekend.

Yeah, me too. My birthday on Saturday so will go down the local for tea, always has great guest ales on so will certainly be sampling them.
Yet to decide whether to have a few Friday with mates, not sure I can be arsed if truth be told.

I only did it because a former poster on here did it, Foo the bloke who started the Stevie G appreciation. I put myself down for that dryathlon as motivation and got the grand total of zero sponsors which is what makes me say bollocks about staying off it for the absolute duration. If I'd had sponsors I would have fullfilled my commitment to them of course.

I don't ordinarilly stop boozing for January. I wouldn't mind but it wasn't a big boozy Christmas but it's been a good way of weaning off the wine with every evening meal!!

This can't be on page 2.

Was eating very well today but just buggered it up by eating a kit kat chunky hazelnut special edition.

It was just looking at me when I bought some milk. Nice, but not as nice as the peanut butter version.

I had a sloppy guiseppe pizza with salad, they're half price Sainsburys.
Added red chillis and am paying for it this morning, I think my spice tolerance is getting worse as I get older.

Got a fritatta with salad for dinner today, usual porridge and fruit and manuka for breakfast. I must be cleansed by now surely!

Tonight I will be having horse burgers from Tesco.

Seriously though what's wrong with horse meat? Had horse steaks in France a few times, nice on the BBQ.

I remember as a kid we went to Britanny on holiday. Nice little French bistro, has this steak with frites.

Turned out to be horse. Was bloody nice too I seem to remember. It's just that it falls into the domestic animal for pleasure rather than domestic animal to eat category so people are uncomfortable with it.

Rabbit is delicious, last time I had that was in France too but far more recently. Lovely rabbit stew in Nice.

I've seen it on some menu's here but you're unlikely to get it in a supermarket, I reckon you would in a rural butcher though.
