One of my old assistants, her dad had/has a baklava shop and she used to fetch in all the 2nd quality ones that didn’t look so great but still tasted great.

    Beans on toast.

I thought there’d be leftovers for me when I got home but the random guests ate the lot. Why are they here again?

A family member who lives in South Wales, brings me up a box of it, plus Welsh cakes and local chocolate and stuff, as I once made the mistake of saying I liked it, when I visited. So every few months they rock up with loads of it, and it’s got the half life of Uranium so it sits there for months usually lol.

    It's bloody lovely though.

Bit dark but would be great for where I'm off too, full of energy.

Welsh cakes can be nice if they are made well but made badly and they are dry and horrid.

    Looks lovely that.

Albeit I’ve never had swordfish that wasn’t as dry as a Nuns chuff. Was it moist? Ooohh errrrr Mrs.

Yes, it did look good that. Haven't had swordfish for yonks. It's one fish that doesn't take well to over cooking.

Only seen a couple of your meals, but if you made that then like your roast you're a pretty decent cook mate.

I went for the full fat, quick as ****, greasy midnight snack, as i was starving.

eggy bread, slice of cheese, pork steak and mushrooms, branston, topped with another slice of cheese...tasty enuff, hit the spot and most importantly it filled me up.

Discovered Marlin recently. Very nice. Maid does a very nice Marlin Pepesan. Fillet of Marlin covered in a paste made from fresh chilies, bay leaf, basil, a bit of sugar and vegetable oil plus lemon juice. More chillies on the top then wrapped in a banana leaf and steamed.

    Very tasty.
