    I don't use egg when making burgers, pointless they hold together without egg.

    Indeed usually, the minced beef has enough fat in to assist binding.

    Yeah with burgers I don't buy the lean beef I usually go for the 20% fat stuff as some of it comes out in the cooking anyway. I tend to keep them really simple.

    I don't know if this is the right thing but I also season the outside like a steak other than mashing salt and pepper into the meat.

    it was a worthy lesson in that homemade burger do indeed taste best than shop bought, much better.

    When ever I’ve made them myself I’ve never really liked them as much as decent quality ones from a shop.

    I took fans advise and threw in a bit of soy and worcester sauce, salt, pepper and some steak seasoning. and gave them plenty of time in the fridge...

    I can give or take any indian food mate, i'm not really as keen on it as many on here are. I can eat it, but i'm not that fussed about it.
