I think he is referring to the Kraft processed cheese out of a jar?

Liquid processed cheese. A proper Philly cheesesteak should be made with cheese whizz .

No. It’s not like primula or dairylea.

It’s meant to be a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack I think in liquid form. It’s actually quite nice. Found it once in the American section at Tesco where you can get liquid smoke.

I would always rather have a slice of processed cheese on a burger to having proper cheese. I’m a bit of a heathen like that.

Yeah, me too. There's something right about it.

Went out last night. As in, out out.

The only the place that stays open after eleven mid week here is the fancy gin bar. So, we caned that place till one am at fifty quid a round. Damson Gin, bloody lovey.

    Sore head though.

    Ah, right.

Thought it might be same place as your lad is at one of the Bath college's.

I've heard of the Potted Pig, never been. Funnily enough, had a conversation/argument last night about Cardiff.

    Fact is, it's ****ing ****e.

Ok, it's had a new shopping section but look outside of that the place is ****ing desolate. It has absolutely zero decent restaurants for instance.

Although the Potted Pig is meant to be ok.

Good for rugby international days (its main USP), that's about it. I've lived in S Wales for 20+ years and a lot of mates went to Cardiff Uni and, to this day, I don't see why people think it's anything other than a bog standard city.

Given the choice, I'd stay on the train and go down to Bristol instead any day.

I agree and don't go often, I find it's only any good if you plan to go somewhere specific. I would never go and just wander around to pubs because like you say it's **** and full of ****ers.

My homemade steak pie, buttered potato wedges and marrowfat peas with red onion gravy over the lot. I like this thread and smile a lot when I read it, I was married at 17 so have a life time of cooking behind me, some of the **** you dudes throw up and grandeur remarks tells me the wife made it and you haven't a ****ing clue.. Lemon drizzle cake, anyone attempted that or maybe even a Christmas cake? What's your Yorkshire puds technique to get them big and tasty.. :)

Pour the batter into a really hot oil and don't open the door until they are done.

Take the hot beef dripping out of the oven and place onto your gas grills, over the 2 fronts set to low, wait for the fat to smoke then pour in the batter and then straight back into the oven.. As a highlight, add some finely diced onion to the batter and maybe sprinkle a little mint herb if you are having Lamb..<ok>
