All fresh ingredients; Minced beef (low fat) and one whole large onion fried up in a medium sized saucepan with chopped garlic until brown. Gradually add chopped mushrooms, one whole large courgette, one medium sized carrot, one whole large red pepper (all chopped of course! lol). Continue to stir and mix all the ingredients in, season (i just used salt). No water or oil is required at any point during this recipe. The mince and onion will brown up in their own fat, and if done correctly the added vegetable ingredients should create and cook for the early stages in their own juices. Do not stop stirring the pan though! Then add your own variety of sauce, i used a small carton of chopped tomatoes and onion (sometimes i use water and a stock pot), this should be plenty of liquid to leave the pot cooking on a low heat for at least one hour+ - until the liquid in the pan has settled more into a sauce that has thickened. Five minutes before serving add tacos to the oven, i used the crispy bowl shaped El Paso's. You know the rest...garnish of your choice. No pics, sorry, already eaten it
Mrs made spaghetti and meatballs. They were really good. Recipe from her diet food recipe book. Weird old day today. Hey. Really sad about bh. Randomly had found myself thinking of him quite a few times when I was out drinking. As I now can only really drink Guinness. Had an uncle die last weekend and this morning found out a lad I went to school with was found dead last night. Horrible times.
I'm all prepared mate.. I had the pork loin chops marinating, before in worcester sauce, soy sauce, mixed herbs, and pepper, and a bit of olive oil I've par boiled some spuds, the tray is ready with olive oil to roast them. Just need to cook roast tatties later, reheat the stewy/casserole thing, finish of the chops.. Job done
Craving some sugar, so sat drinking a pint of orangeade, and eating a bag of jelly babies, a big bar of turkish delight and a bar of chocolate fruit and nut. That should fix it.
Off out for dinner at the local. It used to be just a local but now refers to itself as a gastro pub so we stopped going. The food is very good though and, as it's my birthday (shall I do a thread, Matth?), thought we'd have a treat. Table is at 3.30. Had a takeaway Thai banquet last night with friends over. Was bloody lovely.
So, what you reckon, beef, pork or chicken? I'm angling towards pork, no idea why they don't have lamb on the menu.
