As often as possible. Got an artisan scotch egg place in town. They’re £4 a go. Some wrapped in sausage meat, some have black pudding wrapped round them, some have haggis. All lush.

Also there is a deli petrol station in a village near me that uses award winning Gloucester old spot sausage meat with theirs. They’re ****ing tremendous. If they’re freshly made they will be runny. Always warm mind.

I was veggie for a decade and the reason I went veggie was because of animal production, not diet reasons.

It's not easy to eat cheaply and sustainably, I feel a hypocrite on a daily basis because I don't know where most of the stuff I eat comes from.
I almost always default to a meat dish if I'm out too, can't help it.

Diet wise though, it's good to cut down on red meat, definitely. Plus, veg is very good for you of course.

    It counterpoints the beer!

Do you ever deep fry anything?

Make your own. Soft boil your eggs then drop them in cold water. Peel then wrap in good quality sausage meat. Dunk in a beaten egg. Roll in breadcrumbs then dunk again then roll in panko breadcrumbs then bosh in the fryer. Best thing you’ll ever fry.

    :emoticon-0148-yes:

What I found, over time is that it's easier to feed a family with meat than veg.

As Pakistani we used to cook curry in a big pot and eat with say rice.

You take a baby chicken (they are on offer 3 for £4:99) add a couple of potatoes and a family of 5 eat

You buy veg at £3 a kilo and no one eats unless you buy 5 kilos

Yes in bransford? Their sausage rolls use the same sausagemeat.

Was out that way the other week and had two. They were a little bit over cooked to be honest. Borderline burnt.

May have to pop into town tomorrow and get the haggis one. Have made my own haggis ones before. Love burns night as it’s the only time haggis is readily available. Usually buy two and freeze them.

You buy mutton from an Asian butcher? Never see it in normal shops.

I’d like to make a rack of goat. Have it for a roast.
