You've obviously never seen me post (I have on numerous occasions) that when I have bolognese either at home or at a restaurant, I always have it with mashed spuds as I can't abide pasta. Equally feel pizza is a waste of space
tonight I will be mostly dining on slow roasted quail served on a celeriac and riced potato mash, a saute of young shallots and home grown broad beans, complimented by a madeira jus.
Well, tonight I'm having the lasagne I thought I was having last night. Last night I had spaghetti bolognese, with the same sauce as that will be used in tonight's lasagne. She's nowt if not practical!! Before that though, a visit to the dentist and then 1000m of fast breast stroke in the pool. And I don't mean in a Jimmy Saville stylee.
I once did a twist on spag bol and sheppards/cottage pie. Instead of savoury mince do it as a spag bowl and as you would with sheps/cottage pie cover it with mash but I did cheesy mash. Was rather good, like england and italy had come together for a night or rustic passion sent via sign language
