She's got a hell of a set on her too! Five Guys burger for dinner today. Then cinema with my two lads.
Had taco Tuesday on a Saturday last night. A family feast of proper chilli by me, three bean version by her and bake bean version for the kids. Sour cream, home made guacamole, olives tacos, rice and cheese. Marvellous.
All the family are up and staying over this weekend and we’re off out to my favourite restaurant for their fabulous Sunday lunch today. Can’t wait.
I personally find that restaurants, pubs really struggle with a decent Sunday roast, especially where I live. They think having a Yorkshire pudding the size of a dinner plate is all that's needed.
Very rarely do you get a good Sunday roast in a pub. The potatoes are usually soggy and the meat over cooked. Your Yorkshire pud comment is spot on!
Most around here do the same tbh, the usual turgid crap is slopped up and I can swerve it easily. However this place is a bit special, the only Michelin starred gaff in the area, special treat for my brood.
Back at the Thali & Tandoor in Bedford last night my favourite restaurant at the minute. Had the dry meat curry, bloody awesome!! And enough left over for lunch today
Five Guys burgers are superb but forty quid for an adult and two kids to have burger, chips and drinks is ****ing bonkers. Top tips; one 'little' portion of the fries is ample to share. You get loads. Buy one refillable drink and get the sods to share that too! Add twenty five quid for the cinema and a cheap afternoon out is anything but.
We went for the first time recently. Three burgers, two hot dogs, one fries, five drinks = £60. I thought they’d made a mistake. Turned out I had.
Big take on, I went once to one in Reading on a day out and was more disappointed with The quality and service. Wouldn’t go again although the vfm is poor.
Went to the boozer after work Friday. What was meant to be three ended up being 8 plus a chinky. I’m now banned from my local Chinese. Saturday was a mates birthday, he booked a gastro pub in a posh village. Food was utterly awful. We had also preordered and they still managed to **** it up. Was 24 of us. Some sly ****s put their drinks on the food tab and didn’t own up to it.. Today went for a roast at a posh restaurant by the river. Their roast is awesome. You get a rare joint to share for 2 for £28. Yet still some **** put a bottle of wine and a round of shots on the bill. Basically I’ve been ripped off all weekend.
I can’t think of 23 people I’d want to share a meal with. Possibly because at least one would turn out to be a **** who charges their drinks to the food bill.
That's bad. Thats really bad. Most restaurants baulk at doing 12 or over without advance notice. Some less. If they've had advance notice, that ain't good!
Haven't tried this Five Guys Burger place, tried Gourmet Burger Kitchen and thought it bang average I'd rather have a double Whopper with Cheese which is still my fav burger.
Anyone ever heard of surstromming, and the surstromming challenge? There's loads on you tube. Swedish rotten fish.
How did you get banned from the Chinese? I got chased out a kebab shop by some nutter with the meat slicer once.
