On the point of ridiculous food requests when I were a lad, me and my mates used to go up to to ice-cream vans and ask "How much are your one penny bubble gums?" It confused some tbf. How we laughed and we laughed...

We had a new fridge freezer delivered today. We were told that we had to leave it to settle for at least 12 hours because of the gases. Has that always been the case?

As a result we are mostly eating defrosting food.

You are supposed to, yes. No idea why really and it's the type of thing I tend to ignore but it was said about ours last year too.

Had a Thai style curry thingy and a couple of much needed hairs of the dog for tea.

I'm (almost) ashamed to say I had ten ****ing pints last night. The worrying thing was how easy it was.

Three of us went out from work for some food, early so we could 'have a couple and be back early'. Had three excellent Bass pre food, felt half cut on an empty stomach, had two more ales with food and moved onto Thatchers Gold, which went down like pop. Next thing you know it was half eleven and we were all talking broken biscuits.

    Still got it. <ok>

    Today has been tough though.

Quite partial to draught bass.. Gets you a bit one footed mind.. Also seemingly gives me the ****s..

I too felt awful today. Had 5 pints last night. Came home about 10:30 popped an aldi pizza in the oven with additional bacon cheese and anchovies.. Woke up at 4:30 chucked.. Then had to destroy the house trying to find rennie to calm my stomach down and the massive heartburn.. Went back to sleep woke up at 7:30 and proceeded to have 4 runny ****s in the space of 40 mins.. Lovely.

Made it all better tonight by consuming 4 pints and some roasted lamb chops.

Been to a few of them now. Best one, so far, has to be Fazenders (I think that's how you spell it),Leeds.
Don't seem to be that popular in the south, haven't seen too many advertised.

Is that the purple one? Dont like it in a curry but had it a couple of times in a spicy yoghurt dip type thing which was tasty.

Stan I'm afraid I simply dont believe an okra bhaji exists anywhere but in your imagination.

Potato bhaji with ketchup are fcking gorgeous
