They are nice and soft, thin in the middle, puffy on the edges, like a proper naan.

Put them under a raging hot grill and splash a little water on them

Would give them a solid 7.5/10 compared to Curry house ones.

Best naan I've had was some restaurant in Brum's Balti triangle, another good one in Newcastle under Lyme, plenty in Leeds. I was on about shop ones :emoticon-0148-yes:

Best Naans I've ever had was when I lived near Brum as a student. Used to go to a little balti house where you could order a Naan for one, which was like a big normal naan. A naan for two that was pillow case sized. Or a table naan, which was like a duvet.

They'd bring it out and balance in on those little upturned different coloured plastic baskets (you know the ones :) ) and you'd eat your way to the middle. No Cutlery needed, just rip off a piece of naan and scoop out your Balti bowl.

We used to go to a great pub The Hare and Hounds, 3 rooms of live bands always something for everyone, on a Saturday lunch, stumble out about 7 ish find one of the many Balti houses, non let you down. But it was always a taxi out of there, you didn't want to be walking those streets pissed after dark.

I love living down here, but it’s hard to find decent curry houses. There’s one or two. But it’s not like places like Leeds, Bradford or Brum where you walk into one on any high st like a cafe or fish n chip shop and find top notch curries.

Recently went to a game at West Brom, called into a nice pub pregame, great choice of beers, back room was a curry house, big thing around those parts now apparently.

Thing is with the Balti triangle, it was great food and as cheap as chips, take your own beer. Seem to remember the first Michelin starred indian chef was trained there, not certain but sure I was told that.

Yeah the one I used to go to was BYO and again cheap as chips. In the midlands and Yorkshire you get those curry houses that are as frequent as cafes and chippys. Plastic tub seats and plastic tables. Curries served up in takeaway boxes. No frills but A class tucker <ok>

A place called Westgate in Bradford is that place

If you want a proper man munch with the homies then that’s your place.

    No women no kids

just plastic chairs, ice cold jugs of water and the best homemade style curries n kebabs etc
