The best description I’ve ever heard about oysters is them being akin to licking cold jizz off a turtles back.

Most people do, it’s just one of those popular fallacies aka bullshit.

It’s probably a delicacy somewhere in China.

I get mine from a place called the Carrick roads, which isn't actually a road, but a series of creeks and inlets near Falmouth.

I love most seafood, but I know a lot of people don't. Although years ago I got food poisoning from mussels one time, it was a very long time before I would ever eat them again. Even now, I'm far more cautious.

Massive fan of seafood. Living near the sea it makes sense too. But yeah, I'm really careful about where I get my mussels and oysters from.

Did the same thing years ago, foraging mussels off some rocks thinking I was Bear Grylls. Steamed them up in a pot on the beach and gave myself food poisoning.

and when you get food poisoning off them fookers you know it. Can end up putting you in hospital.

Always loved seafood, but what we call prawns and the Americans call prawns are two completely different things.

Ditched the closed ones, but ate some that were partially opened. Was probs the best of a bad situation tbh, because I got them at a beach called Porthtowan. Which sits below a place called Nancekuke which is an old chemical weapons site !
