Going to a nice restaurant with me Mum this evening.

Might take some pics but will probably feel a bit of a dick so might not.

    I plan to eat well.

    It's genuinely excellent food.

    Top end, no doubt.

I used to live round the corner more or less but haven't been for ages.

I think they do a taster thing but I'd eat off the menu myself.

    You'll enjoy mate.

There's not much round there for pre or post meal drinks though, only the Viv's.

Tidy enough pub but a proper local.

I'd be happy to recommend both.

I can't see you being unhappy with either.

Here we go, main course of grilled swordfish with parmentiere potatoes, spinach and curried mussels sauce.

Very nice, bit too much sauce if anything.

Had rabbit gnocchi for starter and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, no pics though, soz.

    Was absolutely delicious.

They should have it as a main, although I was fish hungry tonight.

couldn’t see it being a big seller from supermarket. You can order a brace from my local butchers, but the Mrs won’t eat so only have if on a menu when eating out.

Is there a particular reason it is not sold in supermarkets, I've never really thought about it, but it does seem odd.

Especially when you can pick up stuff like lambs liver, heart etc, online yesterday, they even had pigs trotters ffs! :emoticon-0119-puke:

So it's ok to rip the heart out of a pig or lamb for munching on, but don't dare touch that cute little bunny, while those pigs trotters are staring at me. Human logic is baffling.

You hardly see any game in supermarkets. A bit of Venison now and again.

I suppose the problem is that if game was sold in supermarkets it suddenly then increases demand and they'd end up farming animals like Deer, Rabbits, Pheasants etc and then it wouldn't really be game anymore.
