Pulled beef is also truly amazing.. Also provides you with the tremendous wind. I didn't stop farting for two days after eating it.

For dinner tonight I have had rump steak (massive one) open mushrooms stuffed with breadcrumbs and Roquefort cheese, homemade potato wedges and sautéed sprouts. I'm also producing gas in the direction of the mrs.

    Pizza.

Well, technically the Co-op made it, and the wife is heating it up. After she bakes me some muffins <ok>

Made a great beef goulash on Wednesday, beef was melting in my mouth.

Is there a difference between goulash and a stew?

Mainly the lack of veg variety. There's not a great deal of cream in a stew either.

Not home made scampi, no. The kitchen is still not complete so it's all about ease for now.

Going out for dinner then? I do like scampi and chips. Ideally with mushy peas.

Been ill all week. Today is the first day I've felt moderately normal.

    You've not been ill, you've been hungover/comedown.

    No, staying in for tea.

As far as I can tell, the difference is paprika. Also more onions and peppers, less of every other veg.

Most genuine goulashes don't have cream in them - only paprika is used to thicken it. Cream is very much a western addition - same as in masala style curries.

Could be the quality of the beef, or something to do with the paprika and the additional time spent stewing the beef before adding any bulky veg, but the beef was definitely more tender than it usually turns out after the same amount of cooking.

You can come down from too much booze. That's actually what I meant.

It's fantastic and very reasonable as well.

There's always a good selection of specials, so can't wait to see what's on tonight.
