    You've got a recipe then?

    Easy enough if not;

    kilo of fresh mussels.
    1 knob of butter
    two cloves of garlic, crushed
one large glass dry white wine
    two table spoons cream/creme fraiche
    Hanfull of chopped curly parsley
    1 red chilli, finely chopped

In a very large pan heat butter, soften garlic in it, chuck in the mussels and chopped chilli and put lid on the pan and cook for about two minutes, put the white wine in and bring to the simmer for about four minutes, add cream and cook for a minute then take off the heat and stir in the parsley and serve with frites and some crusty bread or ciabatta.

    Tidy <ok>

It's not chilli, it A chilli. Deseed if you want but all it does is add a very slight bit of heat, no need for any seasoning then.

I know what you meant.. Just not sure I'd want my mussels spicy.

We are going to buy a truck load anyway so may do two varieties.

It was in this most recent series, the proper pub food one. That one.

You know you mentioned cooking proper curry? Well, you probably won't want to go there but the Rick Stein one is supposed to very good indeed. The one you and Foo mocked and sneered at.

I did watch an episode or two of stein in india. some of it looked tasty some looked like vomit. well most of it looked like vomit.

I just think that curry is one thing I never have all the ingredients for, and i may as well have a takeaway. Had an amazing jalfrezi while in spain. I dont believe I could cook one better than what I could buy cheaply enough. Like with things I normally cook, I fancy my chances at making a better job of it than eating it in a restaurant, especially roast dinners.

Been having power breakfasts of late; porridge with a scoop of chocolate protein, made with skimmed milk and a chopped banana thrown in. I could stop a ****ing truck I tell thee.

For dinner I am having chicken soup and a protein shake.

Not sure on tea, got a squash match and we all go to the pub after, it's usually a chilli or curry with chips/rice half and half.
    Couple of beers too.
