Have you not heard? The landlady at the Cheese forced about 15 sambucas on me, along with the copious Carlings I was drinking. I got off the bar stool to go for a ***, fell sideways, and put my arm out to break my fall, breaking my arm in two places instead. Own fault.
I was around that area last November nice place I was in country a little outside the tourist area but a reall nice place. Penaguila is the village I was visiting.
What was the nearest main resort near to you?? Where I am is in between Denia, Javea,Calpe and Moraira.
think i have driven through there on the way back from the fonts which is a mountain spring place with waterfalls
I's a bit in the sticks but was a fun break with a free bar some fell foul to the Spanish beer not realising it's stronger over there.
Yeah the draught beer is quite potent. I got smashed on bottles of Voll dam. Which is a dark lager and about 8%. Quite like estrella
Even the standard beers like San Miguel and Estrella are around the 5.5 mark which is what was catching some of the big pint drinkers out, chucking them down like it was Carling. Funny to see at the end of the night though. The Alhambra Especial is good stuff but at 6+ it needs to be respected.
I love the stuff but unwisely have drank that at stupid times, like the middle of the day during a stag do. Spent the evening dribbling and woke up in a pool of my own piss.
Trouble is, I had by way of ingenuity decided that I would get the early flight back to Bristol next morning so I didn't have to sit and watch the other lads drink the following day (all flying back to Manchester with lifts from the airport). So, I'm scrambling about at 7am in piss wet jeans to get a cab to Barca airport with the worlds greatest handover. Great plan.
Damn straight I'm heading back to Blighty tomorrow morning, full of paella, sangria, Spanish omelette, cervesa and other awesome grub and booze. I'd lost about five kilos since the start of May, reckon I've added at least half of that back on in the last 11 days. Although on a football related note Kagawa has just struck an absolute bullet into the bottom corner on the turn against Japan. Some more of that next season, thanks lad.
