    Not surprising.

The sauce mix you described sounded inedible!

I followed an Americans recipe to make cheez whiz. I think I put too much evaporated milk in. As it said a can and not what size can. So I put a big one in. An entire pack of processed cheese slices, grated cheddar and a pack of cream cheese. Then onion powder, garlic powder, mustard powder and paprika. Then when all melted I stirred in some cornflour. On its own it tastes nice.

    Awaits the inevitable abuse <laugh>

Was the first disappointing meal I’ve made in lockdown.

Got a paella planned as been and bought saffron.

    Doing another chicken wing night.

onion bhaji night if @Spurlock can be arsed to put the recipe and method up in one post...

Doing another kfc night though this time it will be tower zinger burger night.

did anyone watch Jamie and jimmy Friday night thing? I’m going to have a go at making that Thai chicken and prawn thing as well. I’ve never made Thai food. The mrs does the foreign muck. Will no doubt **** it up.

also going to do some chicken stuffed with haggis wrapped in Parma ham. Will do a whisky cream sauce with it and boulongere potatoes.

The idea if all that cheese with streak is just boak.

Steak don't need loads of cheese on it really.

Not really down with a stilton sauce either.

Done with proper cheez whiz its lovely. Same as a steak and Stilton baguette. You never have a cheese sauce with a steak? As I don’t like peppercorn sauce if I’m out for a steak I have the blue cheese one.

    I'm other way round.

If I have steak it's peppercorn or mushroom sauce.
Not a big fan of a blue cheese one, too strong a taste.
