Nah, he's not. Definitely not. **** was up in Borrowdale in the Lakes and sent me this picture and the anal trainspotter that I am named that valley in one. Oh yes, I know my Lakeland valleys and mountains. Boring twat!
An old mate from the old 606.. He started the SG society. He got fed up of the scouse love in which this board an left.. An went back to uni as an old man to become a teacher.. I thought you were him when you first joined the site but chops convinced me you weren't.
Despises the Liverpool lot, couldn't countenence the banter stuff, although he'd long gone before that started. It's funny really as there were quite a few of us on 606 and not many made the jump to here.
I quit 606 about ten years ago for the same reason. Happened upon this place last year by chance. Occasionally post on another forum that only has a few members but I like the chat as all of them are matchgoers, former matchgoers or proper (realistic) obsessives. I can't stand the forums like Fred Tissue with the ****ing blinkered Unitedarethegreatestclubintheworld party line.
Yeah, I'm on it too much during work if I'm honest. Looking at posts of people who's opinion I actually deride, very wierd. (That's not everyone, just the majority of users of this site. Pretty obvious which ones of course!)
One or two of that type on here. And ****ing loads of the Liverpool variety! Never went anywhere else other than very briefly ja606 before we found this. Haven't looked at that though, it's supposedly really ****.
I think you can be a bit harsh on folk at times who clearly love United. If they didn't our club wouldn't make as much money without them buying their mugs and replica shirts. I haven't owned a shirt since about 93. I wouldn't mind a club polo shirt to play golf in. On the subject of golf I'm playing 9 holes Saturday. How long you going to be working in the ford? As when the clocks go forward we may squeeze in 9 with an early ish tee off. I'm going to try an play a bit more this year. Bought myself a slazenger golf polo neck from sports direct for £6.
I only really like this place as you can talk utter ****e and post vile pictures. Which I do enjoy doing in order to derail a thread and upset Eric when he looks at work.
It's a long time since I got bored of people judging me for being a United fan. I understand their preconceptions as I see why they judge me/us. I cringe when I hear United fans being patronising about "smaller" clubs.
That's the type of **** I have absolutely zero interest in. Honestly, none. I find the "we make more money than you/have more fans than you/can't wait for FFP, that'll bloody well show them" threads cringingly embarrassing. I honestly don't care a ****. If City and Chelsea want to chuck money at it great, that's just two more rivals to blow out of the water on the pitch. If United ended up mid table I would still be a fan, that's because I actually am one. I mean, our financial viability is important but I prefer to look at it in an adult way rather than point scoring that United have billions of fans. We don't, I don't consider the ****ing idiots fans, however many bloody shirts they buy. As for golf, yes indeed. Went to the range this evening, I'm pretty much starting from scratch so it's a pain. There's a decent looking course just up the road, Belmont, which I'll use once the nights become lighter.
People like to follow a club, they also like to follow a club they identify with or loved a certain player when they were kids.. Yes some may support because we were winning everything. I equally cringe when people throw about **** insults about small clubs. But I also don't take away their right to support whoever they want. My main reason for supporting us was Bryan robson. If he aged for spurs back then I'd have supported them maybe.. Though there obviously was my uncles input though an took me to OT. What time do you usually knock off work?? So I can plan when you get here Tuesday and for golf potential in a month or so.
I agree with all of this. Apart from the golf ****. I have no patience for playing golf. I have a natural talent for the game (honestly I do, if there was one sport I could have been an ace at it was golf, it runs in the family) but I find anything more than a few holes incredibly tedious. Love the big tournaments though. I watch every minute of the Ryder Cup.
My stance is at is always has been and will never, ever, change. You don't have to defend yourself to me, we've been through this too many times as it's obvious what I said is not aimed at you. It's aimed at bandwaggoneers who 'support' whoever is sucessful and, because we are, we have literally millions of them. I will not consider them to be just the same as me. They ****ing aren't. They go onto the next big thing when the arse drops out of a club. We shut up shope here at five, it'll get later as the days lengthen, but when it comes to golf I will be able to **** off earlier as I am boss.
Nice.. Need to find a course half way ish.. You checked out the bank house hotel course? Though its far from half way.. Think there is the Worcestershire in Malvern. What time you getting here Tuesday then? It's a twenty minute walk to the boozer.
How long is it here to Worcester? I'll sod off about quarter to five so won't be late, should easily there by six I reckon.
Not really sure. It's not far in miles but not fast roads. Think it's about 40 mins. We wanna be in the boozer for 7 really. Then a kebab house tea
