Is that home cooking? Pretty bloody decent, I would defo eat that. And I love the toms with it, don't get many places putting them on these days, often its beans, which I ain't so overkeen on in large quantity, but all the portions bang on right on that plate.
Bit of everything.they do a buffet on a Sunday. the starters were not as good as the place in Stratford. had some spicy beef slop. some seafood slop. Really lovely bit of slop sweet chilli chicken slop. Couple of curry dishes. some nutty chicken satay. Was lovely. their salads were disappointing. No laab just some spicy pork salad and a prawn salad. I’m not a massive fan of Thai food. The boathouse in Stratford is far superior as all the local Thai people go and eat there. Went over the border in Wales to this place. Was just the food that brits want rather than the food Thai people want. If that makes sense.
Yes mate. We don’t often do a full English, but fancied one today. Always have toms, either the tinned plums as today, or grilled or lightly fried fresh ones.
Always find Thai places do a kind of spongey moose type dessert with bits of homemade crunchie on it. Went to get some and some bastard had scraped all the crunchie off it.
Looked absolutely bang on. I always love tin toms, favorable over fresh fried. Luv hope you're reading this
They do in Birmingham mate. You get proper Indian food there. Mentioned it on another thread last week about the Desi pubs of brum. Sikh owned boozers that do proper Indian food. Lots of Indian mixed grills.
Anyone that comes goes to brum should try one. There’s about 10 of them dotted about. The original one is the Vine in West Brom.
One thing I love about going to London is the food. Some outstanding places to eat. I always make a trip to a Jewish area for a salt beef bagel. I also think Turkish food in north London is better than what you get in turkey .
Not been to one of those before but will defo seek one out next time I’m down in Brum. You can’t go to Brum and not go out for an Indian imo, it’d just be wrong.
They’re normally sports pubs too. Google them before you go. There was an article in the Birmingham Mail a couple of weeks ago, rating the food in them all. Think there is about ten of them.
