Roast chicken and porcini mushroom risotto tonight. Made with that home made stock. Love it, no potato though.

Nice, those mushrooms the ones you have to soak for ages before you use them?

I'm back over to that festival later.. Afternoon of ale ahoy.. Saw a tribute to the four tops last night, they were great.. <laugh>

Yeah, buy them dry and soak. The water from the soaking can be added to the dish. I'll probably ruin it by drinking Cidre with it but as she's dieting I might take the opportunity to buy a decent bottle of red. The good stuff is wasted on her anyway! Today I will be mainly fixing the guttering. You know, I can't wait to get stuck in.

I'm having potato based foods.. Not sure what yet.. As will be spending my day drinking over priced ale in a field listening to weird music in wellies..

The ale on offer is brewed in the Brecon beacons..

    Brecon Brewing or Breconshire Brewery?

The Ramblers Ruin of the latter is good stuff if memory serves. Just bough four ales for six quid at Tesco for tonight plus two large Singha's to accompany tea.

Got a rather special Brancott Estate Pinot Noir to see me through MOTD.

Al, yes that Risotto is the bollocks. Love a Risotto. Consider this the scaled down internal banter thread if those ****wits are doing your head in.

It's caused me no end of bother last night, as I picked him up last night, couldn't help myself giving him a tickle, consequently not a lot of sleep and a banging head ache today.. I've got to go value a posh flat shortly and I still feel like I'm chewing a brick.

Ok, seeing as that flew over your head I'll explain. Crab and chips with some spare ribs is an odd combination. Hence the gravy too.
