According to that list you've only got three homegrown players and one of those is because Fabregas was at Arsenal since he was 15 <whistle>

Isnt there a minimum number of home grown players required?

Does that not mean we can just scribble chelsea out as theit results dont count, home or abroad.

What a ****ing embarrassing football club. 3 home grown players? Pathetic.

Any decent person would be a little ashamed of that. So mot a single chelsea fan will be. Infact it will be a badge of honour.

We actually have 9 in our registered squad. But 6 of them are Under 21, and therefore don't need to be registered <doh>

  5. Eight. hence people saying clubs can have 17 "foreigners" <ok>

There have been clubs that haven't achieve the target since its introduction <ok>

They'll be on loan soon enough...

Plus mourinhos never ever ever playing any of them. Ever. Lets not count them.

And yes, I couldn't give a **** one way or another what someone's nationality is to be honest. Not quite sure why it is relevant, unless you are an England fan and are counting on Chelsea to supply your team with players. (In that case you can feck off! :emoticon-0105-wink:)

  8. That's not actually true, you need to have eight registered as part of the 25 man squad. Under 21s don't need to be registered but if they aren't regaistered then they don't count towards the eight HGs either.

    Ake has played.
The others not so much. Why is this bothering people? Of all things.
    A little Xenophobic eh? <ok>

  10. Can't argue with that too much TBH. The HG rule isn't going to suddenly see the raise of English talent. If they're good enough they'll force their way through no matter where they play; cream always rises <ok>

Well seeing as bayern, real, juventus, united and co can manage it, clubs that are multiple times the size of chelsea, then its frankly disgusting.

And dont mention the kids you couldnt manage to loan out. We all know your clubs policy on youth.

Meh! Either way, if we contravene the rule in some way I am sure the PL will sort it. Not quite sure why people are up in arms about Home grown players over 21.
Nice little loop hole to avoid human rights issues there too PL <ok> <laugh>

I wouldn't say so, just hold the idea that if a player is good enough, we want him, regardless of nationality, and seeing as most England players are ****, and we want the best players, we tend not to have too many England players.

Except this cream is so rare that it carries a premium. Even then its easier to go foreign. Takes some effort to teach a young brit the skills needed to make it in football. A youth set up may be required and youth coaches.

I suppose an acadamy, a desire to aid the game in yiur own country. A love of the sport.

I suppose you would have to be a proper club.

  17. Well, it was common knowledge that the reason it went down the HG route was because restrictions on nationality is illegal, the FA said as much themselves <ok>

Yeh **** every english footballer and there dreams. Foreign is cheaper. Less effort etc etc...

If you supported a proper club you would know.

  19. Exactly. English players always carried a premium anyway, the introduction of this rule made it much worse <ok>

  20. TBF, not many fans of the top six or seven teams are that bothered about the national team ATM. Pretty sure that would change if we played decent football mind.
