40 points in the first 28 games last season and won the league cup getting us a berth in Europa , who cares about the final 10 games except for you and a few other fools . Plus our great start till before Christmas , try to explain that one also , just for once. Deal with those 2 facts for everyone right here dai . Insert cricket here.

The best Swans game I ever saw was the win against Valencia under Laudrup, it was the culmination of years of hard work from many people and managers. It took a world class football man to put the cherry on the cake. I hope Monk can take this further and get us a win against Napoli.
Anybody who cannot give respect to the man who helped our club to achieve its greatest results has a complete lack of class to go with a complete lack of understanding of football. I understand dai your giving up your seat next year, best move you could make.

Valley, two things here. I can assure you that just one week's training won't make a hell of a difference in physical performance, so I guess the improvement against Stoke was probably down to the players trying harder. Extra/harder training improves performance gradually over a period of time, not one week.

As for West Ham, you keep going on about it but this was one really bad game after a series of difficult games. Should a manager be hung out to dry for that in isolation? If there were other reasons, fine, but no team has walloped us (the Liverpool debacle aside) during Laudrup's tenure, so I don't understand the preoccupation with just that particular game.

Bear in mind that WH were at the start of finding some good form - now 4 wins on the trot, so that game was no "gimmee". Laudrup probably boobed with his tactic of benching Leon to play the bigger, more physical Amat in front of the back four to try and protect Williams, in particular, from Andy Carroll. Williams, of course, has always struggled against big players who are good in the air. The tactic didn't work but the logic behind it was sound enough.

I agree, it will probably take another 2-3 weeks before we start to see the fruit of the extra fitness work. However, the performance against WHU suggested to me that Laudrup had lost the dressing room, this then coupled with the rumours that Stumpy and Swimaway (who was spot on as the events he predicted, unfolded the following days)
Some also pointed out that Laudrup instructed his wingers to play wide and hog the touch line, something which they ignored, further signs he had lost the dressing room, but under Monk our game has become much quicker with our wingers playing down the wide channels and are therefore listening to Monk. Last season Laudrup took us to new heights and I for one will always be grateful for the season and some of the players he gave us, which is why I hope the rumours we have read on here are true so that the reputation of the club remains intact. However, under Monk, in my opinion, our performances have become much better, I'm enjoying watching us play, the atmosphere at the Liberty has improved tenfold and more importantly the players seem to be enjoying themselves much more.

Your capacity of understanding the game is pretty limited isn't it? How you can perceive that Valencia win as the culmination of years of development at Swansea is beyond me, I think every man and his dog throughout Europe new that Valencia had some serious managerial issues, and it was so obvious to most who watched that game, that they were crap except of course you, there were so many issues with Valencia on and off the pitch, we just happened to be so very lucky to be playing them at that moment in time, I'm sure Bradford could have beaten them that night, but you go on believing such utter crap. Was not their manager sacked after that game? Did we not get taught a lesson from Valencia under their new manager at the Liberty, where once again we had to watch clueless Laudrup glued to his seat in the dug out, don't make me laugh, clearly you have never played the game and don't have a bloody clue!............<ok>

Class you would know it, if it bit you in your miserable Irish arse!

Do you mean the game against Valencia, where we were denied a perfectly legitimate goal, which would have put us back on level terms. Funny how you forget that. But then you often do forget stuff when it suits ;)

Or do you mean the Valencia game where we lost 1-0, where they had just 3 shots on target, to our 8

Or do you mean the Valencia game where we lost 1-0, where we had 60% possession.

Yes they really gaev us a master class, Valencia got lucky at our place.

Some Swans fans simply don't deserve to be on this journey do they?
