you the one talking pish. People suing is what lead to H and S bullshit councils didnt allow union jacks on their vehicles because if they flew off and hit someone, or someon tripped on one etc they would get sued, a council that goes to court gets into trouble from central govt (hence the loads of managers getting paid in out of court setlements etc), so there are knock on effects look at the insurance companies, blaming young drivers, and uninsured drivers for the rise in premiums. Turns out ist BS, they themselves have created the situation with all the 'blame and claim' culture
I don't necessarily hate the people who sue - more the ambulance chasing lawyers who spend millions on day time TV advertising teling people they can sue if soemone looked at them in the wrong way in the dairy section at Aldi. If they weren't being encouraged.......
Noooo! Wrong! Most claims are successful as people claim that they were never informed or trained of the risks if even the smallest things (sharpening a pencil?) and so the company is seen to be liable. So the insurance companies, who have to pay out on the organisations behalf, now demand that the organisations carry out this stupid H&S training to reduce liability. The company knows half of it is stupid but know that by covering it they cannot be held liable for it in court
What has this got to do with cars, have you ever worked with a council? i have and i quite possibly sat through one of the biggest jokes considered training of my adult life - stick to your muslim ****. If it wasn't for all the stupid ****ing rules people wouldn't make mistakes at anyone time a council worker is supposed to be engaged in an activity that carries with it as many as 10 different safety rules, its called common sense its not supposed to be complicated. Find me one council worker who thinks H&S meetings are worthwhile and that all the money wasted printing pieces of paper for the correct use of **** like ladders costs more money than any claim will.
You are missing the point completely MD. Of course they dont think they are worthwhile and would enjoy it not happening but should they get injured watch how quickly they cry to the courts that the organisation didnt tell them of the risks.
I was senior manager for 2 different councils in a 15 year career numbnuts I gave you the cars example to highlight that all is not it seems, there was a documentary on the subject recently, I was hoping you had seen it I agree its common sense, but have you seen the ad where that bloke falls off the ladder and sue's? says something along the lines of 'I was actually given the wrong type of ladder'. He is a tradesman should have known it was the wrong type of ladder. makes no odds though I also agree H&S meetings are time consuming and often pointless. But this doesnt stop ****wits from suing and lawyers from taking the cases
'THERE ARE NO TOOLS LEFT IN THIS VAN OVERNIGHT' stickers, like that's going to put off any of those thieving scumbags. Oh and those 'POLICE FOLLOW THIS VAN' stickers, what is the point?
People who call others whiners, mopes and cry babies when in reality they complain and whine to the people in charge more than the so called mopes they accuse stabbing so called mates in the back along the way. Maybe it's a smoke screen to deflect the attention who knows but it's ****ing weak all the same.
I`m with you Ciaran, i get pissed off when i see people dropping litter, especially foreigners..... I have actually used the line " You`re not in your **** hole country now, we use bins here" ...
