@ iwant Interesting point about the Manager Out threads. I had a quick wander down memory lane, going right the way back to good old Theo Foley, and I ended up quite shocked. You were indeed correct. At some stage or other I had indeed called for each and every one of them to be sacked. In the days before fanzines and the internet, I used to send letters in green ink to our then Chairman, while my Mum thought that I was doing my homework. I am actually not calling for Lord Powell (Charlton Life have just enobled him) to be replaced, what would be the point unless a new manager was given backing ?
I am ambivalent about Powell as a manager. Fully recognise that he has built a great team spirit, and got us punching above our weight last season. Wouldn't mind seeing Uwe Rosler at our place if we had new owners with money for players.
