As far as I'm aware, which isn't that far tbh, the FA have no option but to allow the appeal. Allowing the appeal doesn't mean they're not laughing out of their arses at West Ham .......... if this was Sunderland I, for one, would be ashamed. West Ham had their luck with the Tevez affair, it's time to shut up and concentrate on playing their 'wonderful cultured style' of football.
And what if Carroll plays and scores a hat trick or two over the next 3 games, will the 10 or so clubs still locked in a relegation battle threaten legal action over the FA's incompetence if the decision is reversed!?? If he was to play and net West Ham 9 points over the 3 games....there'll be ****ing hell on!
First of all let me be very clear on this. Both Carols and Remys sending off are a complete joke tbh and one of the main reasons why the game is going to hell in a hand cart in some respects. Both should have been dealt with by a yellow and a bollocking by the referee and in Flores case, his actions are far worse than anything Carol did and should be punishable far more severely than the original incident. I would like to see disgusting cheating players like Flores driven out of the game forever and I also think this kind of threat from clubs around the world will become the norm as there is too much money involved in the game now. Referees need to stop being so up their own arses and manage the players not just punish them. Some horrific tackles are going unpunished and some none offences are resulting in reds. Its time to have a look at the whole 2 yellows or straight reds altogether imo. If a club that stands to lose £80m from relegation to the lower leagues, then spends a few thousand on a good legal team to overturn potentially poor decisions, its a no brainer and its simply no good the FA, UEFA or FIFA hiding behind statements that this is their rules because international law supercede any local by laws when it comes to restrictive practices and illegal rules and regulations. I certainly don't blame West Ham for trying this on at all and would expect more and more clubs to do likewise but I do blame the absolute dinosaurs that run the world game and for the continued amateurish way they badly run a multi billion pound global game.
Mate I have a lot of time for the Hammers. They are a canny bunch of lads with a fan base that stretches well into Essex. Trouble is, they're run by a bunch of ****s who will oversee the demise of a great club. Great fans, ****e owners.
I don't think he should have been sent off during the game! But once the referee made the decision, and after seeing replays, I can understand why they didn't reverse it cos there was evidence that it MIGHT have been intentional. Even after showing replays there is still a grey area where people might interpret things differently! Carroll wasn't given the benefit of the doubt! Only Carroll will know whether it was intended! Flores should have been brandished a pink card and double Carrolls ban for being such a big girls blouse! If Flores hadn't behaved like an utter gimp, the incident wouldn't even have been noticed!
These things are always based on 'the referee's opinion' unless there's obvious deliberate contact. Carroll's problem is that everyone knows he's an idiot and likely to lash out .......... he's been in trouble for punching women before, so Flores was a natural target
Spot on Billy. West Ham fans are very like us and the most loyal fans in London. They keep turning up even when the bell ends who run their club are making a bollocks of it. I too have a good mate who has been supporting them over 50 years and hes a cracking bloke. There are a few clubs I'd sooner see go down over them.
For even threatening legal action over this, which would have meant the end of football as we know it if they had succeeded, the FA should consider giving West Ham a massive points deduction... Like you Billy, I have nowt against the fans of West Ham, but that should not be an excuse for what the owners of that club have done here..
Is it because they've committed to the new stadium, that's making them so t**ttish, or are they just behaving normally? They'll be losing a **** load of money and playing in a big echoey ground if they stay in the Championship for long. Could be a massive embarrassment for the 'saviours of West Ham' ...........
was the player ban extended for losing the 1st appeal? can it be extended further for losing the 2nd? I don`t know whether there`s a precedent for this.
I think the shame they've brought upon themselves is punishment enough ....... I'm off to have a look at the odds of Carroll & Nolan being sent off again before the end of the season
wasn't a red, but the owners get all they deserve. selling porn, fking up a good family club whilst dressed as some faux russian sub captain you've got to be a complete kernt of a man. i hope he loses all his money ad they go down with Nolan doing the Turkey dance
Apart from the fact the fact that the Hammers board have acted like complete cnuts the biggest injustice in this sorry saga is the fact that that cheating bastard Flores gets off scot free for being, well, a cheating bastard.
You can guarantee, that before he leaves the house, he looks in the mirror and winks ........... what a complete turd the man is.
