My children are told to support Liverpool or find a new home. The 5 year old is a little worried about this and goes a bit over the top to show that he loves Liverpool.

The older ones try and get him to say he loves Chelsea or Man Utd for their own kicks but he's terrified I'll move him out. He'll understand when he gets older.

I have to carefull as the wifes side are all WBA and it would be sad if he went that way.

My little one is 3, It all started during last season's FA Cup final, at first he was saying it as a joke but now he wont shut up about them. whenever we go in to a sport shop he goes straight to the Chelsea merch. He has an old England kit with blue shorts, he call's them his Chelsea shorts.

The older 2 are spurs fans, there is nothing I can do about that, they were spurs fans when I met my mrs thanks to their father.

My second youngest (Violet) is a tom boy, she loves football and she seems to be siding with me. she's my current favourite

  5. My five year old doesn't like Liverpool, you would think that would be any man's nightmare however, it is much worse than that...he hates football! <yikes> I keep telling people that the bookies have stopped taking money on him being gay <laugh> Frustratingly, he used to sit with me whilst watching and shout 'Liverpool' and 'Gerrard' too, this was when he was able to talk but not yet put sentences together, he obviously wised up having watched the bullshit we serve each week!

I focusing on the three year old instead...YOU WILL LIKE FOOTBALL! <grr>

my 3 year old is gonna play rugby by the looks of things. he seems to prefer watching it and he already has the build (short, stocky). I don't mind as long as he is happy with whatever he does

my eldest Jasmine 6 likes Liverpool, but she likes red so not sure if its the club sadly, although i think it is as she seems interested, although that might be just to please Daddy, although we DONT watch anything to do with utd in my household.

my other half used to be a utd supporter(influenced by her brother!) and my mates were gob smacked that i would have anything to do with any mention of utd, but she has stopped all that stupidity now thankfully.

i joke telling my little ones they will sleep in the shed if any mention of utd.

my other half family used to think they was funny saying we will get the girls Utd tops,Arsenal tops etc, i just thought fair enough be a waste of money though as i will just burn them lol.

i think yuong kids don't like us old folks screaming in anger at the football... this is why they support glory hunters cos they sit quietly and are not bothered.

There'll still be the peer pressure thing to force them to follow football and if that fails then there's always motor sports. we've a BMW master mechanic inlaw who donesn't btoher at all with football. He's not gay obviousl seeing his son is now 1 year old and looks like a prop forward.

my advice is to stop screaming at the tv...

When my son was 5 he came home from school and said he was getting stick as the only LFC fan at the school ( we lived in South Shropshire at the time) he asked if he could support Man Utd like his mates. I told him he could but he would not be able to live with us anymore. He went off to play with his sisters and I thought that was the end of it.

Later that day as we were having our evening meal he said he had decided to stay living with us and support LFC. My wife asked me what was going on so I told her, she went apes**t with me and asked me what I would have done if he had chosen Utd...."helped him pack" was my reply.

She was not happy for days.

    Good stuf!

If/when I have children they will support Liverpool too!

I hope I never have to deal with the United problem!
