If you could actually supply any facts that support your argument then it could be taken seriously. That's not being uptight its just plain sommon sense!
Of course it's not a fact, it's my opinion. I think they're ****, I don't need to provide facts because it's my opinion based on every single game I've seen them in. Johnson is so bad it hurts, I think you are possibly the only one that thinks he is decent...
To be honest, I really didn't think Kenny's team sheet was a good one. It's not Kenny's fault lads, it's the players. Kenny played an attacking formation and if his players took their chances we'd have been about 4-0 up at half time. Get off KD's back, yes the subs we're a little weird, but the team should've been out of sight at half time.
what is the bluddy point of playing out of our skins every season to beat teams like chelsea,man utd and arsenal home and away when it only gives us 18 points and then we f**k up against teams like norwich etc etc.ffs it is a problem we have been facing for years and years and at this rate is is gonna keep happening for years and years.

I was thinking today, the main difference between Utd and Liverpool over the last 20 years is that Utd win games they should probably draw or lose, whilst Liverpool draw or lose games they should probably win. I reckon if you compared the respective performances of the two clubs over the past two decades, they'd probably be fairly even for stats like possession, pass completion, chances created and shots on target, but Utd have consistently gotten better results.
But then given that you guys have had about five or six managers over the past twenty years, and changed playing staff plenty of times, it surely can't be the manager's or individual players' fault you keep slipping up in situations like this. So what keeps causing it? Has Liverpool as a club developed some kind of subtle mental block, a bit like Arsenal in recent years but not quite on the same scale? I suppose it could well be - Utd probably had a similar thing in the 80s, like in 86 when we blazed into a massive lead in the table and then self destructed when the title was close at hand.
I totally agree. Today was a perfect example of that, and indeed have most of our games been this season. Apart from the Spurs game, we've arguably had the better chances to win every other game, and yet we've drawn 3 of those and lost 1. If United posted similar stats to us today, it would probably have been 4-0 at the very least.
When you beat Bolton 0-5, it was the same day we lost 1-0 to Stoke, yet our 'attacking' stats (possession, shots on target, even shots against) were better.
We've dropped 9 points already (by dropped I mean points we should have won on reflection of play so the Spurs game is omitted) and I can guarantee that we will, at the very least, be within 9 points of the top 4 come the end of the season. So even though it's early yet, it may well hurt us.
Got to face up to it like Red says, and Singingitworks, without Suarez...what do we do? We have no choice but to use Carroll....
Lots wrong with he result and the team still needs improving but that will come next season imo. Hopefully we can get 4th and Champions League footy but it will be difficult.

Allowed your own opinion and I agree that Johnson really isn't that good, apart from the odd few games. Kelly however is ahead of him and still very young. They are both however better than any right back Chelsea have, Bosingwa is a carbon copy of Johnson and Ivanovic, well its Ivanovic.
I'm afraid it got caught up with my response to not only what had already been written on this thread but also the general wumming that infested the board last night. That's not to say that I agree with you but I do understand how you must have been feeling.
We were far from being pathetic. Even though the end result was more than dissapointing it was light years away from how we were playing this time last season - now that was pathetic!
In the first half particularly some of the passing and interplay was outstanding. Suarez is Suarez and will always catch the eye due to his skill and the way that he plays his football. Before the match I was calling for a forward line of Bellamy, Suarez, Kuyt and I still think that, for this match at least, that was the correct choice. Perhaps the inclusion of Downing closed the space that these 3 were creating.
I don't even argue with Kenny subing Bellamy with Agger late on. Gerrard and Adam were being caught upfield as they tired (understandable in the case of Gerrard). Agger could then strengthen the defensive midfield allowing the other 2 to push further forward.
For me the big problem, as others have noted, is how do we turn all of the chances that we create into goals. We create more than any other team but we don't put them away! it's just so frustrating and I really don't have any answer. I really hope that this isn't setting the pattern for our season.
So I apologise for calling your post crap but hope you can see from the above why I didn't totally agree.

BBf, Drogs and I sorted it out last night. I was just so pissed-off that i bit! I don't agree with him but then I didn't need to spit my dummy out.
Although I'm really disappointed in the result, it was yet another good performance by us. We continue to attack, dominate and create chances. In that sense, we have improved.
It's one of those days where we just couldn't finish them off. Unfortunately, we've had quite a few of those days already in this season which leads me to believe that we need a proper striker. Suarez is better as a link up man playing behind the front man. As useful as Carroll can be, he's not the right man and he should be utilised as a last resort to come off the bench (ironic for a £35m striker). We need a player who is used to quick football, good technique, intelligent and good movement and most of all, has composure. It always saddens me thinking of what Torres and Suarez would have been like together.
Also, as poor as the defence has been this season, it was Reina's error that led to the goal in this game. Personally, I wouldn't have Skrtel and Carragher playing together as they are too similar. IMO a defence pairing should consist of one physically dominating defender - no nonsense etc and the other should be a ball playing defender, takes the ball out of the defence and starts attacks.
All in all, yes we should have won that game but at least we were creating chances, at least we were dominating the game. I would be more concerned if we didn't have any chances to convert. Will Kenny strengthen in the New Year? Players I would like to see in would be Cahill from Bolton to act as the ball playing defender (Agger) and Adam Johnson to create havoc on the right wing. I think we also need a 'fox in the box'.

Ok, my first comment aside, (I'm always prone to hyperbole when we lose), I still stand by my second and if anything your comment backs that up. So many chances and so few goals. We had a great front line yesterday but it lacked a finisher. Suarez isn't supposed to play as the main man up front and bang in loads of goals, Carroll was bought for that. And so I stand by my point that Carroll will never be the type of player to be our main finisher and he's suited to mid-table clubs who need their strikers to be more complete.
