For competition within itself and entertainment it is though. Most teams can beat each other and going into March all the bottom half could yet get relegated and about eight teams are vying for top four. It IS entertaining. Quality wise though it lags behind Spain and Germany in Europe. Those two leagues only real have three teams of any note in them, the rest are ****e.
The "English people think the Premier League is the best in the world" line is almost as big a myth as "England fans think they're going to win the World Cup". I can't remember the last time I saw anyone (outside of the media) say this. Most entertaining league, maybe. Just another Jock-perpetuated load of bollocks.
Try telling the rest of the world that it's not competitive and entertaining. I think you'll find that the answer is that it is.
Name me a more competitive one. That the rest of the world watches in billions as part of its weekly entertainment.
English fitba fans: "It's got the biggest TV deal that makes it the best" Therefore English fitba fans = Worse than your average American sports fan. Tragic stuff.
We need to introduce the glorification of terrorists and a battle fought over three hundred years ago to spice things up a bit.
Premier League football is a bit like an ex-council house in London - it's essentially the same as it was 20 years ago, only it costs about 10x as much money now.
