What is the total value of our first team squad?

OK, I won't go back and forth on this. All I'll say is If we put your valuation of our players in the transfer market most of them would be gone in the month. Not good business.

 

We will have to agree to disagree on most points. we will never know on the Schneiderlin or Wanyama one because the bid didn't come in. I think they would have been gone for high but realistic bids, you don't.

As fore the statement above. We do eek out as much as we can. Of course we don't snap people's hands off at the first bid. That doesn't mean we hold out for a massive bid if we don't think it will come. I would suggest everyone in our squad has a price and our board are realistic enough not to think they can demand silly money for them however that does not mean they give in without trying to get more.

The Fonte value. It would cost us a mint to get a defender as good as him that was younger. He isn't worth £10m unless he has the wrong age on his birth certificate. So yes to replace him would cost £10m as we would be looking for a younger version. To replace like for like agewise would be much cheaper.

 

To replace like for like age AND quality wise would cost us about £10 M though, wouldn't it? Because no one is going to want to sell any cheaper than we want to sell. Therefore, he worth £10M QED.
