Being an optimist has its faults just the same as being a realist.....As previously posted either way is not wrong. The realty is you must have your feet on the ground. The standard of play is fairly good but not good enough in my view to do anything else but struggle in the premier. Compared to the type of play we had 3 years ago what we are seeing now is like a dream. Reality and optimism have to meet at some time and as long as you realise that then there is nothing wrong in dreaming.......
This is very true in respect to the players. It's very important that they take it one match at a time and don't get carried away or complacent. However there is no harm in us, the fans, talking about the future or predicting that we'll be playing in the Champions League in 10 years time. We can dream as much as we like. If I post a thread about how I think we'll win the Premier League next season, it's not going to affect the performance of the team is it? This is why I don't like people coming on here and saying "don't get carried away" and "one match at a time". Tell that to the players; I'll get carried away as much as I damn well please.
