The reaction is because of who it is. If one of my other friends suddenly became single, for example, I wouldn't really be that bothered. Plus, I can act cool most of the time!
Blimey, I started to write, Right what you need to do , then realised it should be. Hope something works out for you PL
Seems to me that you have a bit of an open goal here PL. You can come over all " I'm sorry" and " if you need to talk", tell her you'll cheer her up and take her out to forget about him. You can give her the classic " you deserve better" . Ply her with drink and bobs your uncle. I remember once when my next door neighbour split with her bloke ( I was single at the time ) , she was telling me all about what a bastard he was, I was thinking " I'm not really interested". She then said she felt like going out and having a wild time. Now she was pretty average but I thought "why not". So invited her out, a few noggins later and she's getting some of the old duck magic. Luckily she got back with her bloke and said "its our secret". Thank god for that, because she really was a bit of a trout and I didn't want my mates to find out. However, my point is that when chicks break up, they can be easy pickings, a few kind words and a few too many and you'll bury that open goal like rvp ( I would have said David Connelly, but you'll end up with a groin strain)
