One thing puzzling me is earlier in the thread PLJW posted that you needed 85% to qualify now he's saying its 80%. Has it changed in the past two days or did he just make it up. For a bloke who keeps tally of penos and cards issued I am surprised he doesn't know the pass mark. Which is it, or are you going to delete the question.

If you ref like you moderate this board its no wonder you have issues controlling youth football. Good moderaters and refs allow free speech and aren't a jobsworth.

    p_L -
    1. Yes I can read !
    2. I do understand that the final decision to ban the dad was that of your local youth FA.( I wonder what you recommended )
3 I repeat - I have no trouble in the red card ( or the 4 yellows in 46 games )
    4. My comment re linesmen is a 'general' one. - more to do with the professional game.
    5. I do know that youth football linesmen are NOT neutral - and I have seen bias that you have mentioned.
    6. I can appreciate that the referee is not always in a position to see a particular passage of play - so they ( you ) do have some sympathy when they get blasted by fans - but that's why we've got linesmen. If I can see something on the pitch from 50 yards away - why can't the lino see it under his nose ? Anyway I digress -
7 My main point is that the sanction against the dad was too heavy for a first time offence that involved NO physical violence. I do not condone his actions - but a lesser, written rebuke should have been given - not sledgehammer tactics.Lord Duckhunter (not dickhunter or Ducky) mentioned common sense.
Why did you call him Dickhunter and Ducky? It can be very easy for people to draw the conclusion from such comments that you may have contributed in the confrontation with that dad !, and your smiley, to me, smacks of revenge and not very 'professional' - as you are supposed to be.

Shall we let Ducky have the last word now, because he will go on forever until he gets it.

What do you want to do, copy and paste, or change the order of the same words around again Ducks?

    Very true Possum.

Repetitive name calling wum, seems a lot harder for some to grow out of though.

Which explains, Alwaysright, why we call him Ducky dickhunter etc; He started the name calling, saying we are all chumps, idiots, deluded fools, the list goes on.

When confronted by a bully, who's sole purpose is to try and provoke trouble where he most certainly is not wanted, you stand up to them and eventually they back down. That's the theory.

Standing up to a Bully is “I believe the best thing to do” but sometimes with people who have a love for keyboards, Just ignore is a good option as I wouldn’t call them bully’s but ...................................................I am still looking for the word pm

Oh Lene Marlin! I only know two songs by her, Sitting Down Here and Never To Know. Sitting Down Here was the first one I discovered (back in 1999 or whenever it was) and I really liked it, she has a lovely voice and the lyrics are good. I particularly like the way she sings the lyric "But I've learnt to get revenge and I swear you'll experience that some day". It just sounds so.... sharp, so deadly.... as in you'd better watch out as she's a woman scorned and she will enact a type of revenge which you won't believe! Or something.

And of course, Never To Know. I discovered that more recently (around 2006ish). A girl in one of the Computer Labs kept playing this song I didn't know repeatedly, but iirc, she kept only playing the first minute and so (so the first verse and chorus) before starting again. She must have played it at least 4-5 times, but rather than getting annoyed I thought this is a good song, so I looked it up and discovered it was Lene Marlin. And the lyrics are so moving as well, you can visualise the person she's singing about, the type of person who is lonely and depressed and self-harms. I sort of see him in my head as looking similar to the guy in the music video for the song "Stole" by Mary J. Bleige. So yes, it's a really good song. I have no idea why a girl was listening to the first minute or so of it repeatedly though.

    Brow beater? Baiter Hector...

Hector's House! I used to love that, Zsa Zsa the cat and Kiki the frog who lived next door and came up the ladder.

They had a pond with no water fowl on it. Bliss.

85% to be a youth ref, 80% to be an adult ref. It's a harder test to be an adult ref.

I was out all afternoon today (1-5) doing three matches. It's nice to see you were spending your afternoon calling me a "jobsworth" SeÑor Duck.

I did two adult games, and one youth game. No pens, yellows or reds. I earnt £30 for the two adult games, and £25 for the youth game.

That's £85. Imagine what a fine keyboard you could buy with that, SeÑor Duck. You could get one that automatically replies "jobsworth to everything. Futhermore, you could nip down to the charity shop and buy an old wooden chair to sit in whilst you're busy using that new keyboard of yours, to go with your title of chief WUM!

Lastly Ducky, here's a picture of a new place to you. A strange place, maybe for you-it's called "outside".

    clip_image001.jpg

Lastly, it's very strange how you completely ignored the bit about an FA number.(FAN Number). I guess that means you're lying baout ever refereeing a game. As I said, if you thought refereeing on a video game counted, it doesn't mate. Although at least you'd be able to use your brand new keyboard to play it with! But not too long, you'll have to quit the game and call someone a jobsworth beforehand ..

Maybe I should put two new phrases I've learnt in this thread as a reply for you Ducky.

    You're a "jobsworth".
I will do what you have done every post, and "rake over old coals" and call you a "jobsworth again <laugh>

To be honest with you Ducky, I think I've owned you repeatedly on this thread. (At least four times).

There's no point in me trying to own you again, just for you to not be able to have an answer, and just reply with the word "jobsworth".

EDIT: Ducky, mate. It's been 10 minutes ?? Where are you ?? Ohh... you're appearing on the Jeremy Kyle show ?? Ah ok I guess it'll be a little longer until the inevitable Ducky returns with the usual response ..

I just caught you on TV I think!

    Surely this is you ..

    tumblr_mgm2v4wFPk1qagkizo1_500.jpg

And this is your wife ..

    tumblr_l1yhpufyHi1qbykhpo1_500.jpg

Nice to see you have such a great looking wife. <ok> And you cheated on that ugly thing with this. He came to yours so you didn't have to leave your keyboard.

    jeremy-kyle4.jpg

Perhaps calling you someone who had a skeleton tattooed on his face is a bit much ..

what the hell was going through his mind to get that done ?? <laugh>

Wow, just wow,I really don't know where to start.

I think your rant (provided you don't go all jobsworth and delete it or this reply) has convinced me you shouldn't really be refereeing. You seem rather judgemental , more concerned about the money you're earning than the good of the grass roots game. Throwing insults around and including the lovely mrs duck in your bile is not acting in accordance with the referees code of conduct. I do wonder what an assessor would think if he saw you losing the plot and ranting like above during the game.

I did wonder how a grown man could lose control of an u14 game, but can see how you did. A word of advise from a local player of 32 years & father of 4. Chill a bit, manage the game rather than act like a jobsworth, cease with the insults and forget about the money. The players will respect you more and everybody will enjoy their leisure activity more. They don't think their Wayne Rooney, so stop thinking you're Howard Webb

Surely the only way this can be sorted is if Ducky comes and watches one of your games, but promises to stay behind the line, whereby he can see that you're not a jobsworth and any critique he may be inclined to make, if necessary, would be informed rather than based on footballing rivalries.

Still no sensible reply to concerns about you breaching the referee's code of conduct. Just flippant nonsense posted instead of any defence

A sensible suggestion, particulary if he was in charge of a ladies game. If I got bored watching the jobsworth I could look at the chicks.

I take it alwaysright is a Saints fan, or maybe, just maybe he has formed his opinion from PL's posts on here. Starting with the glee he got from some poor fella unable to watch his kid.

    ...

People like you are the reason people like me feel worried that they might be perceived to be just going to a ladies game in order to perv on the women.

Plus, in my experience the ref's for women's games are nearly always women (I can't think of any occurrence when it's been a man) though some of the assistants are sometimes men.

But he never leaves his armchair in Poole, Lapras, so how can he do that ? Be reasonable.

Can't P_L Stewie referee a game in "His Lordship's" back garden so he can watch out the window. As long as he promises not to chuck his empty McDonalds wrappings out the window of course.......

Don't tell me you go and watch for the free flowing football and tactical moves , you could watch a better game at any number of local pitches. You go to look at the chicks, not all of them I grant you, some of them are a bit ropey. But some are worth a gander at.
