I have no problem with opposition fans being over-confident. It really pisses me off though when they make out that we're a cheating, long-ball, thuggish side. It couldn't be further from the truth. We've spent 3 years improving this team and even in the NP days we played decent football. We never bother with big strikers, we never even get penalties dodgy or otherwise and there are plenty of other teams who are cheating ****ers. From what I've seen of Cardiff and Watford they look like good sides, even though I don't know much about their players I can accept they're very good sides. With us it seems like just because we're Hull and we didn't used to be good we can't possibly be winning fairly now, it must be some kind of witchcraft or something. How Forest fans can moan about penalties to us I will never know. The one Sharp won at their place was as 'professional' as you can get. Back to goal and actually moving away from it, no prospect of a scoring opportunity, naiive defender nearby, best fall over him then while I'm still in the box. The one we got (one of only 2 all season...) was for Meyler getting wiped out as he raced towards goal. Don't know how that can be described as dodgy.
They are worried about playing us, its a case of "sour grapes", as they wanna be where we are, criticizing rather than applying credit where it's due.
One of them was worried about our set pieces, it pretty much confirms that they have no idea how we play.
Is annoying reading all the childish **** when you're looking for news or stuff thats actually interesting to read, couldn't care less about Leicester or Nottingham or any other club from that area
Let's be honest it will be a tough game for both sides - Forest would probably prefer to be playing an easier side, as would we (if we are being honest). At least they seem to be getting their excuses in early, incidentally anyone know where in the fair play tables both sides are currently. And given their mouthy, bloshie, could start an argument in the middle of Sherwood Forest or the North Sea manager should we really be surprised by the "class" of Forest players, management team, fans and not forgetting their wonderful board of directors who seem to fire half the staff and then bring in a keeper from Kuwait (where the Chairman just happens to be from) when their manager hands him a list of 3 (decent, one was Robinson) keepers he wanted
Our next game is against Nottingham Forest and this thread is about the Forest fans view on us ahead of that game. I'd hardly say it was wildly off topic for a Hull City message board.
They're the 7th dirtiest team in the league according to the fair play table, we're 23rd(or second, depending on which way you look at it), only Leicester are nicer than us.
