Quite a few sarcastic answers to a perfectly reasonable set of peopositions.
Things could have been quite different.

    Thanks Col,
I was just letting the children get on with their amusement.
Of course they are right in the sense that it is the past that cannot be changed but it contributes to how I feel about the Rs at the moment so it was cathartic if nothing else.
    Onwards and upwards.

A serious response - what if instead of losing 5-0 at home to Swansea on the opening day of the 2012-13 season we had won (which looked likely until they scored, we were looking good). I genuinely believe that whole season would have felt very different, and we may have now been celebrating entering our sixth season in the PL, probably without Hughes, who would be at a bigger club (and a bigger one than Stoke). There was a lot of talent in that team, they needed belief, unity and pride which a decent start may have given them. Added bonus that no one would have been going on about bloody Barton.

Thanks Stan. As well as being woeful at times (half decent other times), we did seem to have more than our fair share of bad luck. I felt so glum that day especially as I was getting texts from a Swansea acquaintance. I know some consider it a waste of energy looking backwards but I can't help it I'm afraid. All the elements were there, it just would not click into place.
